Nice light blade design I use for hunting field knife
Bought this after using Buck knives for years. Just wanted to try something new (really like my buck knives btw). Great price point, boxed nicely and comes with a nice sheath. Impressive sharpness out of box. I field dressed and skinned a whitetail this week. Worked very well, remained sharp and blade design allowed for accurate, smooth and safe cuts. Had no problems with smooth handle- I’m usually wearing gloves and not using a ton of force. Great design and price. Excellent field knife or an extra to have in the backpack. Would buy again. Or maybe even for my friends and family.

Great knife great price
Not much to say. Had to get it sharpened, but it was a gift for my son and he loved it. It’s a quality knife and you can’t beat the quality for the price of the knife. Light weight and great feeling in the hand.

Nice Spyderco But...
I just received the Spyderco Bow River. I'm a little bewildered, it's not sharp out of the box, strange for a Spyderco. My other 15+ Spyderco you can do surgery with they're so sharp. The size weight, feel are good. I'm not loving the G10 on this, I see all the other comments everyone seems to love it. To me it's like holding a wet ice cube in your hand, you get 0 traction or grip. I'd never want to use this with wet hands you need something for traction and grip. But that's just IMHO. Sheath is nice, it seems like good leather it fits good. I'm giving it 4 star's, I almost considered 3, but it's a Spyderco and they've never disappointed me, So I'll stay with 4, mostly for the G10 scales I'm not loving and just disappointed in the sharpness, which is easy enough to fix. Also, now that it's in my hand I would have like to see jimping on the spine. But for the price point, it's a good buy.

Might be the best knife deal going.
Yes, I know it's got "Made In China" on the blade. But set it side by side with some of SpyderCo's more pricey offerings and I defy you to tell the difference. First off, it came out the box perfectly sharp. Razor sharp. Not kidding. It's the sharpest out of the box knife I ever bought, and I have some of the best... The edge is perfectly ground. The blade pattern is very good, useful as a hunting knife for sure, and great for EDC. It's not for heavy duty "bushcraft" duty--though it could handle some of the lighter tasks--but the pattern and construction makes it good for just about every thing else. Second, fit and finish all-around is perfect. Really. I was astonished. The G-10 handles are perfectly smoothed out and perfectly aligned with a edges of the full tang blade. All screw heads? Perfect. Brass lanyard eye? Perfect. Don't know who's doing the hand finishing on this model--but they did a perfect job. Did I say "perfect" enough times? Maybe. But it's the only word that fits. Third, The sheath is an outstanding, great looking black leather, belt hanger that fits perfectly. Fourth, The Chinese made 8cr13Mov steel is said to be a sightly improved version of Japanese AUS-8, and from what I can see, it's a good steel. This knife blade came without blemish or stains, perfectly ground, and "shave your face" sharp. Time will tell on durability, but right now, edge retention is great, and the steel has a good reputation. Fifth, Amazon had this knife shipped to me in a day. For free. It came a full four days before Amazon said it would--packed up tight, via the USPS. (Now this might be because they had to cancel a previous order a few weeks ago because of a fraudulent third party seller--I'm told they keep track of such things and expedited this order to make up for it. Whatever the reason, it came fast. So, Total cost was $40. For everything. For that money--I can't possibly think of a better choice.

For the price a Deal
I'm really pleased with the overall quality/style of this knife. It came with a nice edge out of the box, not really razor, razor sharp but the knife would shave hair off my arm and slice thru a piece of paper. I'll clamp it on my KME and get the edge polished up without having to spend a lot of time working on it. The sheath seems ok, but I would rather it have been a polymer sheath even if the cost was a little more. IMO, for $51.45, I think it's a deal. It will definitely be used for slicing my steaks at the dinner table along with a lot of other uses. Now the down side - The knife didn't look used, but the box had been opened. On the blade they were fingerprints so it had be handled. Was it a return, IMO it may have been, someone had definitely handled the knife.

Overall- quite a decent knife !
As a knife collector i am very pleased with the fit finish and sharpness of this knife ! The.sheath is also pretty decent too ! It is quite snug on the knife at first but if you work at for awhile it loosens up pretty decently! The sharpness is pretty darn good also - it slices through notebook paper from butt to tip ! Overall I think you'll be pleased purchasing this knife

Great knife for the money
I have this knife and bought it for my friend for his birthday since I liked it so much. This knife fits well in the hand and is super thin which makes it especially great for food prep. I use this as my travel kitchen knife since I'm on the road for 6 months out of the year and hotel knives are crap. This processes onions, cuts chicken, slices through 5 slabs of thick cut bacon with ease. The leather sheath is ok. The handle adds flair and looks great and stays in the hand even when wet. The stainless is great and requires minimal cleaning. My blade is still sharp after 2 months of use. The price point is great for the quality of this knife. If you are on the fence, buy it. You won't be disappointed.
