My Favorite Pastel Paper
This is my favorite paper for soft pastels. Looks and feels good, the sanded surface is great for gripping soft pastels but can still spread/smudge them as needed for blending. Also erases pretty well when you make mistakes. I love that this brand comes in color black.

Amazing paper
The best sanded paper out there. I use this particular high grid for PanPastel together with colored pencils. This paper takes on a ton of layers to add depth to your artwork.

Good price— great artistic results
I love this paper! Never tried dark paper before and it really makes the colors pop. U-art is my favorite paper for pastels . The price is fair and because I cut it in half ( for 6x9 painting ) economical for me. Will definitely buy again.

Really fun to use
I ordered this black sanded paper by mistake, but I already know that it's a lot of fun to paint pastels on black, and this paper will get a lot of use. Colors really "Pop" on black. The 400 grit holds several layers of pastels. One thing - you do need to find a way to store the paper and your finished work **flat**. The paper has a strong tendency to curl around the long axis. But that's not a big problem. This is great paper at a very reasonable price.

GREAT PRICE
If you are interested in experimenting with pas pastels and pencils, this is the product for you. The 800 series is better, but this is great to start with. There are better brands, but... for the price, this is great to start with. You will need to purchase the pan pastels and the tools that go with the sets. WELL WORTH THE BUY!!!!! The only drawback I could see is that this package is small. You really want to work on a larger area. the problem.... the larger pieces are MORE expensive. All in All.... This is GREAT for small pieces and if you want to try this awesome medium. A very small learning curve using the necessary tools. You will have a lot of fun!!!!!

My Favorite Paper for Pastel Painting
Love UArt sanded paper. It takes many layers of soft pastel, PanPastels, charcoal & pastel pencils. Wonderful surface to work on. My favorite color is black because it seems to make the colors pop.

Love Uart but it curls
Uart is a favourite of mine for pastel even though it curls. The black paper makes it easier if you’re doing an evening or night scene - it accepts many layers of pastel also so you can have depth in your painting!
