Bought this along with the 30x10 burner and some fire glass to build my own fire pit. Makes it easy since you don't have to go buy separate pieces. Gets the job done but the flames are low ( about 1~2 inch flames) even with the tank and key valve turned full open. I was expecting a much larger powerful flame and so was the wife since she kept asking if I could turn it higher.I have an adjustable high pressure regulator on order from Amazon and am hoping to swap that portion out for a bigger adjustable flame.Update: got the high pressure regulator in and was able to swap out that portion of the hose in less that 5 minutes. The new high pressure adjustable regulator has made a world of difference. Flames now can go from a flicker all the way up to a raging fire.

If this is your first time doing a firepit or something then you're probably just looking for a kit to get you going. That's fine, this box of goodies will include what you need but don't expect it to suit all of your needs or all situations.Depending on your application you'll probably need 1) Longer hose(s), 2) A higher throughput regulator and 3) possibly a f/f coupling to connect to a jet/burner pan. 1 and 2 are maybes, the biggest thing is the regulator. The output is basically 1.5" flames and is barely hot enough to warm your hands when the flames are touching them. IMO shipping with a regulator this puny is worth removing a star from the review, it's hilariously weak. It might as well not even ship with a regulator - that's how bad it is.

Quality of the components is great, but there is a specific limitation on the throughput for the valve (180,000 ish BTU), which many firepit these days exceeds. So long as you're doing something less than that i recommend this, it just didn't work out for me and seller wasn't that interesting in sending me the parts i wanted (unless i wanted to pay of course).

This product arrived promptly and met my expectations. For anyone ordering it the hose connectors require a 3/8" flare fitting - in my case I used 1/2" gas piping so I ultimately got 1/2" FIP to 3/8" flare fittings to complete the installation. I mention this only because I couldn't find this info ahead of time and had to wait to get the fittings until after the valve and hoses were sent.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Worked perfectly for my outdoor propane fireplace project. Don’t need to get to the hard to reach propane tank. Just turn the key and light. What could be easier.

Had a problem with the regulator valve. Support was quick to replace the part. Phone support with manufacturer was educational and promptHighly recommend this product

Only used 1/2 of it because the side that goes to the tank is no good. In my opinion you also need an adjustable regulator to control flame heightAlso had to buy an extension for the shut off valve to get through the masonry wall. .
