Never failed to impress !
I’ve been using Kaspersky for many, many years, and it’s always been exceptional. The Premium Total Security package is the best yet—top-notch protection that keeps all my devices safe without slowing them down. The password manager is a lifesaver, securely storing all my passwords and creating strong ones for me. The built-in VPN is fantastic for private browsing and online shopping, and it’s so easy to use. Features like parental controls and file backup make it ideal for families too. I honestly couldn’t recommend Kaspersky highly enough. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and worth every penny.

Very effective and uses minimal system resources
Kaspersky is one of the very few Internet security software that ticks all boxes. Firstly very little if any viruses get through its barrier. Those which do are quarantined for you to determine whether they’re friend or foe. Just as important is Kaspersky’s consumption of system resources; which is absolutely minimal across each element of the softwares (many) functions. The extras in the Internet security package version are useful too. As an intermediate user there’s plenty of tools at my disposal to tweak for my needs. Likewise the default position is very easy for the novice to be at ease with it. I like the discrete dark green screen which is easy on the eye too. Pricewise it’s comparable to other software which in my experience are a heavier drain on my systems resources. There are cheaper alternatives which I have used but each have their own drawbacks that’s why I keep coming back to the Kaspersky products.

It's an unlimited VPN + good antivirus
It's best-in-class antivirus software but the company's provenance will always be slightly questionable. Got it primarily for the VPN feature, which alone is worth the £20 paid for the product. Works great for torrenting my legitimate Linux ISOs but speed does appear to be throttled (I get 1 MB/s) compared to when I had Proton. It's a fraction of the price though, so I don't mind. 5/5

Good product at much better price than direct.
I signed up to Kaspersky Total Security directly around 13 months ago. Frustratingly, as the renewal drew nearer, the deals Kaspersky were sending me weren't anywhere near as good value (Around £40 at the time) given that I knew it should be around £20-£25 I looked elsewhere. I saw a flash software sale on Amazon a few weeks before my license expired. £15 for a license with 5 devices (an extra 2 on my last license) - Generally I avoid buying software on Amazon as it usually comes from marketplace sellers, however this was sold and fulfilled by Amazon. Code arrived by email almost immediately. I added it to my Kaspersky program, and it automatically added it to start after my other license expired (avoiding overlaps) As for the anti-virus - I think this is one of the better options out there. I needed a more secure AV, and considered upgrading to the paid plan offered by Avast, however after reading lots of reviews I decided that Total Security package from Kaspersky was the right option. Contains several useful features that I make use of - Password Manager - Held in an encrypted data vault. Nice and secure. (Pick a solid master unlock p/w) - Password generator - creating scrambled password choices (4-99 characters) you can pick if want lower/higher case, special characters and number combinations to create extremely secure passwords. - Password scanner - it scans website/application passwords you've used, telling you if there are any weak/vulnerable ones. - On screen keyboards - to avoid keyloggers. - Protected Browser - for sensitive pages such as internet banking. - File Shredder - to delete files permanently and avoid file recovery. These are the main things that I make use of. But there are also application managers, network monitors, cloud protection, data encryption (AES-256) and many others. You get a lot of product for your money. All of this of course comes on top of the anti-virus to protect you when surfing online. Well worth the extra money in my opinion. I removed a star as it does some pretty frustrating things when using protected browser. Often requiring new windows open for payment, the protected browser seems to interfere with this and often causes payments to fail. Also, the VPN - Secure connection option - whilst good - costs extra. (I paid around £20 for a year I think)

A controversial choice. It tests well, and improved from two years ago
I've used Kaspersky for many years after struggling to remove Norton AV from a computer and, the insecurity of Windows back in the day. Kaspersky has always independently tested well against 'in the wild' malware. However, it's a Russian company that is currently banned by the Biden US administration. It is not banned in the UK and, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) believes, it's highly unlikely that individuals who use Kaspersky antivirus will be targeted directly. It would be wise to check whether your employer's policy would be an issue if you send and receive documents on your own equipment. Then there's the invasion of Ukraine that has caused several resellers not to stock it. Independent testing has always given an excellent rating to Kaspersky, and it doesn't appear to slow systems. In fact, this version appears to be lighter on resource requirements, with a simplified set-up and configuration menu. The included VPN is no longer usage limited and includes an optional kill switch, but it isn't going to compare with say Proton VPN if you have privacy concerns. It still has Safe Money that has given me problems on some online ordering. I thought that Safe Money might just be a defence against key logging, but no. A software specialist advised me that reliance on a bank's encryption can be a better bet than using Safe Money. There are greater online threats now, from phishing to ransomware. It used to be that you couldn't have two antimalware apps running at the same time on a computer. Kaspersky can run in the foreground, with Windows running an occasional background scan. That's how I run my computers, with ASUS providing the integral antimalware on the input. That was OK on most websites, but Amazon's Vine website rarely worked after changes when they had problems with bots. I'm no longer a Vine member (long story), but you may need to bear that in mind if you are. In summary. A technical review doesn't usually have to deal with a strong moral and political issue, in addition to uncertainty about the government's attitude. That alone may determine whether you choose to buy and install this Kaspersky product. If you do, Amazon's current substantial discount means there is little financial loss if you do uninstall it in the future.

Incredible value
My total security was up for renewal, hit the button went to the Kaspersky site and they want far more money that what I paid here, the VPN is awesome, incredible as is the rest of the app, many features I still have to use but the app is no bother at all, speeds are great, and Kaspersky are the world leaders in virus detection and online security so grab yourselves a bargain along with peace of mind. Shame Kaspersky don't off their customers the same deals at renewal, I am sure this is an oversight on their part.

Excellent
Please note: I managed to get this product on discount. The software is very easy to use, and is nice and modern. The antivirus part is easy to navigate and understand. Performance section is more complicated as it tries to do to much, and then notify me that I haven’t done everything (Note: I’ve seen it and don’t want to delete certain duplicated files for example). The privacy section is superb with a VPN, something of which I hadn’t used before, but is very easy to use. It also has handy tracking detection if you are the paranoid type. Overall a very good antivirus, but whether I’d pay for premium again is another matter, I don’t necessarily need all the additional features, but this comes down to each individual.

Excellent value
Kaspersky works well and doesn’t take up too many system resources. Bought at an excellent price for 2 years and 5 devices. Have used various versions of the product over many years, have not had any issues
