Incredible bluetooth headset for the price
This is an amazing headpiece for my phone and pretty decent for music, and is especially so because the price is so low. I've tried other bluetooth headsets for my Galaxy phones over the years (and before them, starting with my ancient pink Razr phone before it died, and my Blackberry after that (which I hated but is still in my desk drawer), but this is by far the best and cost the least. The best previous one was a Jawbone Icon Thinker, which had a good sound for voice calls but wasn't that great for music. Also, I bought it years ago, and the earplug part was miserably uncomfortable and kept falling out until I bought Jabra gel attachments for it. After that, it stayed in and I could actually hear my calls.I tried others along the way, but the Jawbone was my go-to for, get this, 6 years. I bought it on Amazon in 2014. Well, the battery has been giving up the ghost and finally pooped out yesterday. Frankly, it's amazing that it lasted as long as it did.I figured that I would have to bite the bullet and spend a whole lot of money on a new one. So I went shopping on Amazon. I checked the Jawbone Icon first, to see if they still have it. Well, an outside vendor sells it on Amazon for $49. Yeah, sure, 6 year old technology, even if I like it, well, it's nothing I'm spending $50 for.So I spent the afternoon researching and really liked the look and features of the Kendir 5.0 but I figured that at less than $20 it probably wasn't all that great. Then I read the reviews. Wow. So I dithered about the white one or the black one and decided on the black one. I placed my order and expected it to come tomorrow (or later, depending on the Amazon deliveries during this awful time in which we find ourselves. But it came today. It was fully charged, but I plugged it in because that's what you do with new technology before. It took about 5 minutes before the read light went off.As soon as I turned the power on, it started looking for the phone to connect. It was the easiest pairing I've ever seen.I made a test call. Great clarity. I'm old and my hearing isn't what it once was, but I could hear just fine. I tested out some of my music and again, I am so impressed. It's not the same quality as my wireless studio Beats, but then, it's only in one ear. The music is crystal clear, the music true and not at all tinny. The bass is decent as well. I have pretty eclectic musical tastes, and everything I've tried it with this afternoon sounds pretty good. The keys are easy to use. I always had some trouble with the Jawbone volume controls, but these are separate keys on the side and very easy to use. I also like the black and pink gold look and the elegant shape and design. I also prefer the small size. As one of the other reviewers said, because it doesn't hang in your face or blink, it makes you feel less like a Borg. The Kendir came with a nice, supportive case, changeable ear tips, an extra ear hook, and a short charging cord. I'm not sure that I need the ear hook. I have it on right now and can barely feel it, but the earbud is in pretty snugly. I didn't have to try one of the others. All this for $16.99.When I really like a product I kind of sound like a commercial. My excuse is that I love gadgets and technology, and when something works for me, it really makes me happy. I've been known to write a negative review from time to time, but I strive for positivity. This bluetooth headset makes that easy.If you're thinking about spending a whole lot of money for an earpiece, try this first. It's really good and well more than worth it.I can't wait to see if the battery really does last as long as claimed. I kind of think it will. And to top it all off, I got the scratch off card and first prize to send in for another one. I am totally impressed.

Great at first but a bit disappointing
I have owned at least 15 different bluetooth wireless earpieces, so I'm always looking for the one that best suits my needs. The Kendir has some very solid features, but it also has some serious issues that I may ultimately determine are deal-breakers. If you don't extensively use dictation for text messages or email, you may find that the positives outweigh the negatives. Here's my appraisal after having owned the Kendir for about 6 weeks.Things I like:1. Very small and unobtrusive.2. Easy to wear - I don't even notice that I have it attached to my ear.3. Sound is very loud. This is very important to me. I wish my other wireless earbuds were as loud.4. Battery life is as advertised. The Kendir lasts for quite a few hours before the "battery low" is heard. I only have to charge it every two or three days depending upon usage.Things I'm not as pleased with:1. Serious dictation issues: When dictating on my iPhone 8 (iOS 13.3.1), I am not able to dictate much more than a sentence. Once I end a sentence with a period, though the audio dialogue box remain open and the sound waves continue to be expressed in the dialogue box, it stops dictating. I have done this countless times so I'm now certain this is a design flaw. (At first I thought it was an iPhone software issue but ALL of my other bluetooth devices work dictate as expected.) If I choose not to use any punctuation at the sentence's end, I am able to dictate longer content. As I mentioned, I have numerous other wireless bluetooth devices that allow for much longer dictation. In those devices, though there is a limit to the length of the content you can dictate (controlled by the the iPhone's iOS), when the dictation mode stops, the dialogue box also closes. In the Kendir device I have to manually tap to close the dialogue box once it stops dictating into text, and then have to open it again multiple times if a text message is longer than a sentence or two. This is terribly annoying. I end up completely turning off my Kendir if I want to dictate because it's not worth the hassle. Since I use the dictation feature a great deal, this issue may override all of the positives.2. Loss of Bluetooth connectivity: With my iPhone in my hand or in my pocket, I often get verbal notifications that the Kendir has "disconnected" and then almost immediately it will say "connected". This just happened as I was typing this review. Why it loses sync when the iPhone is so close is a mystery. Sometimes this will happen 5 or 6 times in the course of a few minutes and then it might be quite a few hours until this happens again.I really want to like this Kendir since the the positives are so strong, but ultimately I may discontinue usage if dictation doesn't improve and if it doesn't stop constantly losing sync with my iPhone. Great potential, especially for such an incredibly low price-tag, but I'm still hoping my experience improves. If anyone has experience with the dictation issues, please let me know. Especially if there's a solution. Thanks!Addendum after a few months of usage [5-12-2020]:The dictation issue has made this headset almost unusable. I can only dictate a sentence at the time. Once I pause for a second or two or I end a sentence with a period, though I resume talking (the iPhone screen wave representation appears to be tracking my voice) it does not dictate anything. And that happens even when I am in the car using the car stereo system (when the Kendir is still on). Initially, I thought perhaps it may have been an iOS issue but after a few more iterations of the iOS (currently 13.4.1), there has been no change. This is the ONLY Bluetooth device I own (and I have 8-10 others) that has dictation issues. Also, too often I get a disconnected and reconnected voice message when I am well within range (a foot or two) of my iPhone. Sometimes I will get this message 3 or 4 times within a span of a couple of minutes. This is incredibly annoying.I still don't understand why more people aren't experiencing these issues and why the ratings remain high. I am going to downgrade to 3 stars. The only reason for not lowering it to 2 stars is because of the obvious positive attributes I noted in my first review. So,

Works great and fits comfortably for all day use
I love the Kendir bluetooth I just purchased. Ibuse it with an Android phone. Pairing was very easy.I like that the device is small and the sound quality is great. It fits very comfortably in my ear and can be worn all day. It will fit in either the left or right ear. I would recommend this for price, ease of use, design, and overall functionality.
