Pixel 3 owner here: get this one
Pixel 3 owner here, so if you care about that specific phone, read on: So, big question, does this "fast wireless charge" the phone? Answer: It won't display the "fast" part, but my tests show me that I am getting the 10w speeds. [EDIT/UPDATE: I found why I was having inconsistent results, heat. I have it mounted in the windshield and it's summertime, I found both the device and the phone quite warm while it was having trouble charging quickly. I directed one of my vents at it with cold AC, I now get 1200mah charging rate consistently. I left the original review below but wanted to add this.] Full answer: I bought this because I have worn out my USB C port. I get in and out of my car a lot for a second job, and use GPS frequently. I needed something that could keep up the charge with GPS and screen running, but Google hampered their own device by going with some proprietary standard instead of the normal. I've been waiting nearly 2 years for a cheaper wireless charge device, but they disappointed me. Suddenly, and without fan-faire, this exact brand shows up on the Google store, and even more so it's claiming 10w charge ability. Looking at the specs of the Google stand, it says the same rate. Great, finally a less expensive option. But in reading reviews here, it's all over the place on if it fast charges or not. I took a chance. And I'm slightly confused by the end of my testing. But, the bottom line, most of the time I'm charging at about a 1000mah rate using Ampere to measure. But sometimes it measures much lower, even lower than 500mah. And sometimes the percentage of my phone battery display doesn't make sense with either of them. Let me explain: I've connected it, had it indicate wireless charging, and in this example it was at 86% already. Ampere reported 120mah. The lock screen told me it was going to take 47 minutes to reach full charge. I didn't touch it, just let it run, but with the screen off so I couldn't see Ampere. Then it steadily ticked upwards on percentage and down on time. Suddenly it was at 88% and 36 minutes to full charge, but it had been only 2 minutes. Then it was at 89% and 109 min to full charge, then 90 with 15 min to full charge. Once in a long while, it'll say charging, but still tick down while in use or stay steady while idle. Taking it off the mount and putting it back on results in much faster charging. Most times I can start it charging, and it will charge at a rate of about 7% in 10 minutes of driving with the screen off. That puts it on par with the fast wireless charger by Google. I don't know why I see the inconsistency, however I can state that this regularly pushes better than any other wireless charger I've tried that's not made by Google. The few moments of oddity, and that it won't say fast-charge, are strange for sure, but I'm blaming Google on that one more than this product. My educated guess is that Google pushed some update which allows some chargers to put out similar charge to their proprietary wireless charger, but don't want to make a big deal about it since it was a bad choice to begin with. The non-google Pixel 3 stuff: - It's an excellent windshield mount, utterly unmovable without a lot of dedicated force. - The one-hand clamp works fine, although I wish it didn't snap shut like it does. - The included charger works fine, the extra port is low power but work ok for smaller devices like bluetooth headsets.

Use the included items and this works great
I had another iottie phone mount for years and it finally broke from constant use. I thought I'd try out the wireless charger version so I don't have to plug and unplug my phone every time. My biggest worry was about removing the dashboard mount from my old holder that had stuck nicely over the years. Turns out iottie must use the same ball joint mount for all or most of their cradles because all I had to do was unscrew and remove the broken cradle and screw on the new cradle and I was finished in about 30 seconds. And I didn't have to mess at all with my dashboard mount. That was a nice relief. I plugged my old charger cable into the back of the iottie and attached my phone and it did indeed charge. But it didn't fast charge my Galaxy phone. So I swapped out my USB power adapter and cable for the one that came with the iottie and low and behold it fast charges now. Another win. I noticed that during long drives the back of my phone gets very warm. I suppose that's the nature of wireless charging and not necessarily an issue with the iottie, but I have to be sure not to direct my car heat vents onto the phone, and every now and then blow some cold air onto the phone. Overall I am very happy with this unit. Installation was a snap and if you use the included items, it fast charges the phone. I have no complaints at all. I hope this one lasts as long as my previous iottie did.

Surprisingly good build quality and easy one hand operation.
I've had this for four days so far, but I've been on the road a lot, and I am very happy so far. I actually bought two versions: one with the suction cup mount for my car, and one with the CD slot/vent clamp for my work truck. I've gotta say, they work well. The build quality is actually very good. Wireless works as expected (10 watt charge rate - see below). The one handed feature is VERY nice. My old mount required me to use two hands. This one you can place and remove the phone with one hand and it's quite securely locked in. In my photo, you can see a button in the center of the mount. When you put the phone in the mount, it presses against that button, and that triggers a spring mechanism that clamps the phone. To release the phone, you squeeze the buttons sticking out on either side, which also re-arms the spring mechanism. Very quick and simple to use. The suction cup, which is usually flimsy on these things, feels very thick and robust. How well it holds up in hot Florida summers will take time to tell, but I bought another, non-wireless version of this mount, as a spare for the RV and also to steal the suction cup arm off it if needed. If you notice in my photo below, I have the mount resting on the dash. People always complain about the suction cup giving out. Well if the phone is unsupported, and it just bounces around at every bump in the road, that arm is going to act like a lever and pry it off. I opted to attach the mount to the window so I don't discolor the dash, but it can be used on the dash. There's also a disc included with that strong 3m double stick tape (the tape they use on Go Pro mounts) that you can use on dashes with rough textures: you stick the disc to the dash and then attach the suction cup to the disc. The vent clip mount actually works well and is what I used on the work truck. I generally don't like using a vent clip, but this one grabs really tight, and the truck has some beefy vent slats. The CD mount, which at first I was skeptical about, actually works very well if you bother to read the instructions (which I didn't at first) and realize there's a lever on the bottom that you need to turn to lock it into the slot tightly. The CD slot mount wasn't really practical on any of my cars as it would block the entertainment center display, but a good idea for an older car with a more traditional radio. The charge rate is not very fast - it's 10 watts, which is enough to keep the phone up. But if the phone was nearly dead and I needed a fast recharge, I have a high speed plug-in charger in the glove box. That charge rate is pretty standard for car wireless chargers, and the Pixel 6 only supports up to 15 watts wireless charging on 3rd party chargers. Only Google's proprietary wireless charger runs at the higher 23+ watts. ------- Followup 8/3/22: I had to stop using the wireless charging feature because it interferes with the Bluetooth between my phone and the car entertainment system. I can't say this is a problem with the charger as I've Googled the issue and not found any known issues with wireless chargers and BT except for iPhones in a few rare cases (I'm using a Pixel 6), so it may be the entertainment system in my car (2012 Lincoln) that's sensitive to it. BT works but while playing a podcast or music, the pause button will come on and off on it's own, repeatedly. I can actually see the pause indicator on the entertainment system display coming on and off, so I know it's not an audio issue. Disconnecting power from the charger makes it go away. I tried raising the charger higher off the dash and it didn't help. Moving it to the left of the steering wheel seemed to help, but that's not a comfortable location for me. So just a head's up, if your BT playback is acting up, try disabling the charger. I actually switched the unit out for the non-wireless charging version I bought as a spare, and I'm using the wireless charger in my 2013 Yukon with no problem. I do love the cradle itself. It's a very good design, and the one handed operation of placing the phone in the cradle and removing it make this well worth it. Pity I can't use the charger in my car though.

Premium Materials, Great Fit, and Wireless FAST Charging Make This Car Mount Worth the Money!
I think the design and materials on this car mount are impeccable! Add in wireless FAST charging and this iOttie car mount can't be beat. I was a bit concerned about the $50 price tag; however, I do believe it's worth the money if you want a sturdy dependable mount. I could tell from the packaging that I was dealing with a company that takes pride in its products. When I held each component, the specific weight (how heavy an item feels compared to its size) was spot on. Each component (even the small car charger and cable) had a nice quality feel and were heavy for their size. In electronics, weight equates to quality build and quality components. The instructions made sense and I appreciated the little insert that warned folks about mounting this to a car that is known to have a soft dashboard. So if you have certain Toyota or Lexus vehicles, you may want to opt to a windshield mount. I really liked the telescoping feature because I am short and thus have short arms. The telescoping adjustment allowed me to position my phone even closer to me than the stereo and climate controls. Also, the ball joint on the cradle allows me to easily rotate/tilt the phone to my liking. The wireless charging feature is something I had never seen in a car mount and I was a bit skeptical on whether it would actually work. This is mostly due to some other reviews I saw on YouTube. However, after further inspection, I noticed that some folks weren't even using the charging equipment provided with the mount. I can say that for my Samsung Galaxy S10+ the included cables and charger worked perfectly for fast charging. Also, I was pleased with the length of the included charging cable. I also like the fact that the car charger had an extra USB slot to charge another device at the same time. I also love being able to press my phone into the cradle and have it snap into place. There is no need to fiddle around and make adjustments because the one touch button instantly secures your phone! There were a few minor improvements I would suggest on this mount. First, if there is a way to provide some sort of cushioning or stabilization for bumps then that would be great. That's because I have the telescoping arm fully extended and sometimes this causes a little jiggle...but it's not too terrible. Also, it would be nice to be able to adjust the bottom part of the cradle left and right to account for audio cables. However, I do understand that most phones equipped w/ wireless charging will most likely NOT have an audio jack at the bottom. Overall, I'm very pleased with the mount. I think the price is a bit on the high side. However, the quality and features help me feel better about the price.

love it - perfect so far
Hello all. So...I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and it's *just* horsey enough now to not fit in spaces well (cupholders, for instance). And I've always wanted some kind of phone mount and have never been motivated enough to actually take the time to find the right one, etc. I first tried a couple of different ones from a big box store, you know...hey, it's right there, let's just try it...and they were both terrible. One was basically a cupholder plug with a mast coming out of it, and the other was a 'stick this in the air vent' joint and I thought they both sucked, flimsy, unsteady, junk. Both returned. This iOttie thing, thus far, it's really near perfect, I love it. I feel fancy now. I kid, but only a little. The suction cup mount has held perfectly over a week of driving and railroad tracks and bumps, and I have the arm extended all the way out, and down, so it's exerting pretty decent leverage on the suction cup with the phone mounted and weighing it down. You can easily adjust the mount it to hit the wireless sweet spot on the phone perfectly. Push the phone onto it, and a little button on the back pad releases the side grabbers which hold the phone snug, whether vertically, or if you turn it horizontally. Then to release, you grab a couple of other little side levers of sorts and they push the grabber bars out again and lock open for the next time you mount it. I really was only interested in the 'hold this thing up for me' aspect of it, just to have maps running while going to my many work destinations, but the wireless charging thing is fantastic. Also, the lighter socket plug has its own USB port, so in other words, you can plug this in and charge the phone and still plug another device into that plug. Which I haven't (yet) done. Maybe I'll come back cursing if the suction cup fails me and the thing goes flying, but as I said, so far, perfect, tight, all good. I have a Highlander Hybrid Limited, the dash is not super smooth but certainly not bumpy, and it does have a little bit of a convex hump, and a little fiddling around with the right spot, as I said, produced a tight connection. One small note: this thing came with basically a little hard plastic disk, a mounting plate, with the idea being that I suppose you could mount that first, and then take the suction cup off and on again as you wish, or maybe switch cars or locations...I don't know. Anyway, that thing had almost zero adhesive on it and fell off immediately, so I just don't use it. I'd say buy this with confidence and it wasn't a lot of money.

Noth worth it these days
I have a card charger that slides into the air vent, it is wireless and does fast charging but it does not hold the phone well so I wanted a new one. I ordered this product because of the high reviews and it looked good but expensive. Once I got it home, it only has micro USB connection and I could not get it to fast charge. I used other car chargers with no success. The other thing it was old school about was the automatic opening and closing. This one locked in very tightly but you had to find the side buttons to get it out of the holder. They have a newer version of this one (Wish I would have know that!!!!) that has the mechanical automatic opening, a type C connection and it does fast charging.

Great buy & finally rapid charges my Pixel 4 XL!
Works great with my Pixel 4 XL. Those stating it doesn't rapid charge may not be using a proper power source. Since I use a 4 port charger, the port I used for the iOttie is a QC 3.0 port (while the other 3 ports are not). I had a 5% increase in charge during my 1.5 mile trip to the gas station once I had this plugged in. Have not tested this with the supplied power cord. My previous Scosche magnetic mount Qi charger couldn't keep up during daylight hours because screen brightness was up high, but would only produce a positive charge at night when the screen was dim (~10%). The iOttie keeps up with producing a useful charge while the screen brightness was up high (~75%). My only issue was finding a good spot to place it in my car. While the extendable arm brings it away from the windshield a comparable length to many longer arm windshield mounts, its just slightly too far to reach on a regular basis (I'm an Uber driver and need to swipe/tap my screen often enough). I ended up using the dash mount pad. If the pad sticks as well as the suction cup does (really tough to pull from the windshield, so make sure you are sure about your mounting location), it will definitely stay in place, but may be difficult to remove at a later time. Overall, this seems like a great buy as long as it is a durable product. Edit: the dash mount pad did not stick very well to my dashboard (leather dash in a 2015 Camry). This forced me to place it back in the windshield. Also, for those using Pixel 4 phones, I have occasionally had an issue where the phone charging only kept the phone at the same percentage vs seeing any increase or decrease of the charge level. Closing all apps and restarting the phone fixed the issue and allowed it to charge fully. That specific issue hasn't happened for awhile though, so I'm not sure if there was a software issue that has since been fixed, or something else. But again, it was easily resolved with restarting the phone.

Great Wireless Car Charger - Bad Car Adapter
I had the older version of this wireless charging car mount for years and loved it. I started driving for Uber and Uber Eats and it works perfectly for both. So easy to pop the phone in and out and you get some wireless charging while it's docked. The super sticky suction cup works great as well. Every year or so when it loses it's "stickyness," just clean it with water, then let it dry. After that it sticks great again for another year! However, extreme heat seem to speed up this process. After probably thousands of mounts and dismounts of my phone and thousands of hours of use - my old one is starting to become stiff. So I bought a "used" newer version of this mount from Amazon. It came with no box and the sticky suction cup has lots of stickiness missing. I'm not even sure if I received the correct USB car adapter, as mine doesn't work at all. It could be that it doesn't fit my car like the old one, since it's a different shape. Luckily, I have the older one that still works, so I'm using that. The new phone mount does work fine, but I would caution against getting a used one. It might be worth it to buy a new one depending on the price difference. Usually I have really good experience buying used products from Amazon, but this was one of the first times I wish I would have bought the product new.

Jeep Renegade
The unit fit securely above the center AC vents. It wasn’t uneven surface so I pressed on opposite ends of the disk for 30 seconds to secure the disk. The added benefit of wireless charging is very helpful considering I often have passengers in the front seat.

Very stable and secure
Easy to put on and take off the phone (Samsung Note 10 plus). Included charger gives enough power through quite short micro USB cable, but additional USB connector on the charger gives only 0.5A which is pretty much useless by today standards. If you want to use longer cable to power this phone holder you gonna need different charger. Very limited swivel makes hard to find comfortable phone position. Dispite some flaws it's very good phone holder and fast wireless charger.
