Average
It doesn't tighten as well as I'd hope. But it is cheap. I think a washer would fix this problem, the thread length might be a little long for my T4i which is why it probably doesn't tighten up as much. Overall, its average and cheap.

It Really is a Great Product
I usually shoot with a Canon 270 flash, I was recently assigned to do video for my church. I already own 2 Shure microphones, I purchased two of these and used them both together. I have both microphones plugged into a mini mixing board. I have the XLR cables plugged into the mixing board and using a RCA to 3.5 to play it into my camera. I get full stereo sound with no delay. It's a great product, I also used with a tripod adapter to record a Vlog on my phone with a mic. I used an app with a PC sync cable to fire my canon flash. Overall, very pleased.

Simple and works, but won't blow you away.
Simple, metal and rubber bracket. Cold Shoes can be rotated, which is why I bought it. Compact compared to L-Brackets, but the heavy duty L-Bracket is a better constructed piece (I just wish it had cold-shoes that could be rotated)

Good enough and worth it fo rmost environments.
Great for the price. A little less "solid" than others but for the money, this is going to be used as a backup bar. If you're thinking about this one vs another, then get this one, it is good enough. If you're a pro, you probably don't mind spending a couple extra $$$ on a heavier/more solid unit, but be like me, and get this one too. It's worth it.

A little bit short.

Just as advertised, and solid.
The supporting bracket itself is solid, milled from a single piece if aluminum. There is actually a 1/4"-20 thread at the medial end of the slot. The cold shoe it comes with is not anything special, and I replaced it with a better unit immediately. Overall, it's just as advertised, versatile and great for the price.

Not as Pictured
While the product illustration appears to consist of a metal bar with two camera/tripod screws, the actual item comes with a cheap plastic bar. It is usable, but not very durable.
