Would give it more stars if I could
It should be stated I use pen for all my illustration work. Where do I begin with how incredible I think this sketchbook is? It truly is the epitome of a perfect sketchbook at least for my uses. Being an architect, it embodies everything I need in a sketchbook. A large and uninterrupted drawing surface, a solid minimally textured cover for taking notes on, a flexible magnetic strap that is just the perfect size for my pen. It truly has it all. Though the advertising for the 180 degree function shows how you can create large works, I rarely use mine for this purpose. The reason I am so fond of the lay flat design is the ability to have it lay flat on my desk when I am sketching. Nothing is worth than have an enormous crease down the center which continues to try and close the book while you are working. No matter what page you are on, the book remains open. Not to mention that the magnetic strap is also extremely handy for a page saver. I don’t know how many times I close my book when talking to clients and use the strap to mark my page. It is the perfect size, the perfect design, the perfect texture, the perfect color. I have had no issues with them so far and I am currently on my fifth completed book. The only thing I could possibly mention is that the corners can get a bit banged up a bit but I have had no issues with delamination or anything. I wouldn’t recommend it but I often use mine as a coaster for my coffee and have had no trouble. After about a year of use however, two of the books I have had the strap has snapped off. This was usually as I was finishing up the last few pages. To be honest I really didn’t mind it too much. It was almost as a ceremonial goodbye as it went on the shelf with the others. A Wonderful book. At least for my uses. I use pen for all my illustrations, could not say how it reacts to pencil or other mediums.

Awesome sketchbook
This is an excellent small sketchbook — the paper works well with both ink and pencil and the lay-flat spine is really nice too

Lays flat!
I am usually a moleskin person but decided to try something new and ordered this. I really like the paper and it's quite versatile with the different pens I use to sketch with. It lays flat which is really nice and I also really like the closure on it. Overall, I'm glad I ordered this!

MY GO TO SKETCHBOOK
I've drawn in sketchbooks for years, and have to say I finally have one that I can really dig and do everything. I was Moleskine user for years ( and in some cases I sill am) but this is part of my everyday carry. The paper is great, not the best, but versatile can take ink, can take a beating. The clasp at first I thought was bothersome and now use it often.I love that it lays flat too. If there is anything I don't like it's the lack of pocket in the back and the size is a bit off for the book, but overall it's a great carry sketchbook. Plus the laying flat feature is THE BEST.

Lays Flat, But Lead Does Not Lift Off Well
This artbook is great for sketchings because it lays flat and your drawing can span across both pages. The magnetic closure is pretty cool too. I imagine that'd it be perfect for travelling. With that said, lead and colored pencil marks don't erase all the way off this paper; it's really quite annoying. If you want a good paper to draw on - consider the Stonehenge line of cotton paper.

Love that it lays flat!!
Love me a notebook that lies flat. I was going to use this for calligraphy and blackletter so I was worried about the ink bleeding through the pages since they felt thin. I tried it and it doesn't bleed, but I can definitely see it from the other side. I would probably just use this for pencil, maybe pen sketches. Probably great for scrapbooking since it lies flat! Was delivered in just a wrap of plastic though, the back of mine was scuffed up but that doesn't matter much to me.
