Huy Fong Sambal Oelek Chilli Paste , chilli,sambal, 18oz

I love Sambal Oelek hot sauce. I use it on everything. Admittedly, I'm over the top on the use of this. Up til this summer, I bought it by the case of 12 for about 34$ on Amzn. Now its not available at all except by the jar for some reason, for 4.50 on up. If I get a cold or sore throat, I take a couple tablespoons of this, it burns the heck out of whatever is in my throat, and after a couple of those, I usually don't have a sore throat. I use it on bread instead of peanut butter. A nice wake-me-up in the morning. As far as taste, this has a wonderful flavor. I find Siracha sauce, which is the current craze, has a very sharp flavor and while also hot, and a tad "hotter" than Sambal, is nowhere near as tasty as the Sambal Oelek, nor as versatile. Its made by the same company, as is the pungent Garlic Chili Paste, and that also is not in the same class as the plain Sambal Oelek. I bought the Garlic Sambal to try it, and gagged. I ended up putting it around my outside plants to repel squirrels and rabbits. It did a great job. Siracha seems to be on the table at many restaurants, but I prefer Sambal Oelek by far. Tabasco and Siracha seem to be about the same spiciness. I'd put Tabasco on more things than Siracha if I wanted a quick kick to my eggs or hash browns, etc, , but if its in front of me, I use Sambal due to its much more useful flavor. Did I mention I like Sambal Oelek?

We were looking to spice up our everyday meals and someone mentioned this product. We are so happy they did. We have put it on pork, chicken as well as beef. We don't use a lot but as the supply dwindles we will be reordering.

Love the flavor and spice. It’s hot but doesn’t kill you with the heat. Try it on different things- potatoes especially

This is ther real, original Sambal Oelek, accept no substitutes. You'll figure out how much to use in a recipe depending on your spice tolerance. And this stuff lasts forever.

One of my favorite middle eastern restaurants had this great chili sauce. I asked them what they use and it was this sauce. It has some serious heat but also some sweetness as well. I use it on middle eastern food, hamburgers, subs. Great all-around sauce to spice things up with a great taste that brings out the flavors of different types of foods.

I enjoy it I will always be buying it and for the price it's not bad at all
