Star Wars Science Death Star Planetarium - Uncle Milton

We gave this as a gift and before they could get home he had it opened. My son loved it so much he wanted one for him self. They thought it was cool because it was Star Wars, I thought it was cool because they were learning about the stars. It is not going to give you clear detail, but it will give you a little light in a dark room and something fun to look at.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son who is 10. He opened it, as his one gift, on Christmas Eve. I had heard a lot of skepticism from friends who had purchased other brands of planetariums. However, this is awesome. We sat it on his dresser and, even though we have low ceilings, you can see the stars and what not very well, almost perfectly. He was able to point out places in the Star Wars Galaxy as well as stars and constellations from our own galaxy. It was pretty easy to assemble, only difficult to get the screws and lightbulbs out of the packaging. I am sure he will have a great time with this.

If I could give this negative stars, I would. Where do I start? This overpriced piece of garbage is small, poorly made and an overall waste of time and money. The fact that they slapped the "Star Wars" logo on it and billed it as an educational toy should only add to the manufacturer's shame for trying to peddle this pile of crap. It comes with an LED bulb that you have to install yourself. They gave you a spare, because of you're really lucky, you may not mangle both of them. I got one of them in, it stayed lit for MAYBE an hour (displaying very dim, mediocre "stars" on the cieling) and then burnt out. I won't even try to describe how the "Death Star" doesn't really remain closed and how useless the stand for it is. If there's a bright spot in the galaxy of Star Wars licensed items, this is the furthest thing from it.

it's easy to put together and is cool enough. but, it's smaller than i expected and the main let-down was that the galaxy you see is actually blurry on the ceiling. i'm pretty sure there is no way you could find the big dipper. even still, it's pretty neat and my 6 year old son likes it.

We used this as a centerpiece for our May the 4th wedding and It was perfect! It is a neat to use in a pitch black room too to turn It on and see all the Star Wars planets! This would be a great gift for any Star Wars fan!

Firstly, having to assemble this product is just stupid. It should already be assembled. Second, the little light bulb just sits precariously on top of the bottom half. It doesn't fasten down, it just sits there. So the light is constantly going on and off, which is very annoying. Overall this is a waste of money. If it worked correctly (and was already assembled) it would be a cool toy for a kid. As it is, it's just a waste of money.

My son got this for Christmas and the cheap quality really surprised me for the amount of money we spent. The top and the bottom of the sphere don't really clip together or rest on top of itself properly. The top half just kinda lays there and is not sturdy or well balanced at all. The entire thing is made of a really thin, cheap plastic and the stars project onto the wall but not onto the ceiling clearly. Overall our little star wars fan (7yrs old) is disappointed with this hunk of plastic (it's like a plastic Easter egg but round).

Great product! Works up to 6 feet away. Make sure when you buy that it has a light bulb and also it needs three AA batteries. You can use a 1.5W Christmas light bulb, but to avoid melting your plastic, please use an LED. Great for a kids room or a collector's room.

個人的にデススターが大好きなのですが、立体物には恵まれず、簡単に手に入る模型は、よけいなレーザービームが付いているものばかり。 かといって、フルスクラッチする気力もなく、なんとか既成のものを物色していて、この商品を発見しました。 外見の造形については、他の立体物よりも大きく、細かく見栄えがします。プラネタリウム機能用の電池蓋ネジやスイッチが目立ちますが、これは仕方がないところです。上下を合わせると、きちんと赤道部分の溝も再現されます。プラネタリウム用のランプを使って電飾できるかとも思いましたが、南半球は密閉されていて、さらに思ったより樹脂の肉厚があるので、加工はむずかしそうです。むしろ、プラネタリウム機能をオミットして、スイッチ類をパテ埋め、塗装をほどこして完全ディスプレイモデルとすれば見栄えがするように思います。 とにかく、そのまま飾るにはプラ感丸出しなので、塗装は必須です。 正直プラネタリウムとして使わないのであれば、ただの丸いプラボールに大金をはたく事になるため、その辺の価値観は微妙です・・・。 某社からプラモデルとして出て欲しい・・・（できればデススター２も）。

Hingegen sovieler Negativ Beurteilungen haben wir uns letzten endes doch dazu entschlossen den Todesstern zu bestellen und unser Glück zu versuchen ;-) und ich kann bis jetzt nur Positives sagen...Das zusammenbauen ging fix, Die Leuchtmittel waren und sind beide okay ( also sind nicht durchgebrannt...) und es leuchtet ausreichend stark, sodas man das sternenbild wunderbar erkennen kann... Also bei uns ist alles gut... ach ja und der Versand war auch fix :-)
