Tricky to keep connected
Really don’t understand as to why it just won’t keep connected , I’ve had sky caddies before this one is a mystery to me

Good for distances but gets mixed up when holes are close together
When tee boxes are close together for example 4th and 5th tees at Whitburn uk, it gets mixed up showing 5th hole when playing 4th

You don’t have to search for the course you are playing it comes up on the screen
Did have an issue when the screen froze I couldn’t do anything to switch off or even charge the battery had to wait till the next day then managed to recharge it since then it has been ok I have registered a complaint

NOT A COURSE GUIDE
The screen on my old Garmin approach was becoming difficult to read owing to wear and tear and I needed a replacement. I do not like wearing a watch when playing golf but a Garmin is quite expensive and the SWAMI seemed very good value by comparison. I am disappointed that it does not provide a course and hole guide as the Garmin and I miss that but the distances to the green seem accurate but I notice that not all the hazards are shown usually just distances to bunkers. The GPS updates a little slowly so be careful let the distances settle. I use glasses for reading and the numbers are a very good size, however, the course list at the beginning of set up are in very small lettering. If you do not want to wear a watch then this is a good substitute and value but it does not provide all the course information of a more expensive machine.

Not great
All a bit meh. Power button very stiff. Courses take a long time to load. I've used it twice. We cut out some holes in the first round and that completely confused it. So you would have to manually select the hole, which I suppose is fair enough. The second use though was rather disappointing. I played a course near Edinburgh, Baberton, whose layout was changed several years ago. The device was still using the old layout and the new first hole, a short par four, showed a distance of 600+ yards. I toggled between holes and finally got in sync, but it got confused again later in the round. That all said, I just wanted a small device, but with a screen clear enough for my getting poorer eyesight, and it fulfils this requirement and works perfectly when it is on the correct hole.
