Best quality for lab work (Mushroom cultivation) , excellent stiffening quality, this means we can use less than 10g per 500ml of water. I personally like a stiff agar mix for my slants and petri dishes but I have used as little as 6.5grams let 500ml of water And it works great! For the price and quality it's the best. Excellent alternative to gelatin (vegan here)
Excellent alternative to gelatin (vegan here). Add to fruit juice and make anything. Just be sure to cook it enough.

very fine grind and very white agar agar powder. the large amount of agar will probably last me my lifetime but excellent value and quality.

Chemical Smell
Used it to make vegan cheese per Miyoko Schinner recipe (vegan mozz) and this stuff had a very bad (chemical) smell to it, I was too afraid to even try it. Too bad I spent over $40.00 for a 1lb bag of something that I will just dump in my trash. I would suggest others to try the smallest package (since others didn't seemed to have any issues with it), I however, will not by again.
