Finally! Designer jeans that fit my curves
I'm very excited to write this review because I'm happy to share that there is finally a pair of designer jeans that fit my many curves! Here are my findings:FITI am 5'7" and and weigh 170 pounds. I've got huge thighs and a generously sized muffin top. In some jeans (Guido and Marie, J.Crew, Domino) I wear a 31. However, I recently ordered 10 pairs of designer jeans (7 for All Mankind, Rockin' Republic, Lucky, etc.) from Zappos in 31 or 32 and none of them fit. None of them. The problems were either with the waist band cutting into my sides and pushing my muffin top way over the band, or not being able to pull the jeans far enough up my legs to meet the crotch area properly, or cutting to low and revealing too much bummy crack. I was embarrassed to have to ship back all of the jeans I'd ordered. My post-partum self-confidence and body image was at an all-time low because 31 and 32 are the highest sizes you can order in those brands. However, when I saw these come up on Amazon Deals, I decided to take a closer look through the reviews. Lots of curvy women had reported that these fit...and that they came up high enough to prevent or cover up any muffin top. Hooray! I decided there was nothing to lose by ordering them, so I ordered them and was nervous when they arrived. Low and behold, I tried them on and they were the perfect fit--like a glove! THAT was a skinny-feeling day!The length is crazy long. I was so excited to wear them out to a fun dinner with my husband that I wore them with my biggest heels before I got them hemmed. Even with 4" heels and pulled as high around the waist as possible (Steve Urkel high), the bottom still dragged on the ground. Then I was so excited to wear them to playgroup that I just folded them underneath twice. Before the end of playgroup, they were unfolded and dragging the ground. I walked to my car over a snow-covered driveway and the legs got soaked. They're at the tailor's now getting hemmed and I hope they look as great after.MATERIALThe material of these is surprisingly corse and thin. I actually looked on Zappos to compare this style to other styles of 7 for All Mankind to see if this was a lesser-quality style (like the outlet version or something). Sure enough, this style is up on Zappos for about double what I paid on Amazon. No one else has commented on the denim feel and weight, so maybe I just don't know enough about fancy jeans. I do have another pair of 7s that are a thicker and softer material. It's going to take a dozen washes or so to break in the fabric, I think. Also, it's not very stretchy, yet it somehow fits like a glove and doesn't restrict movement. These jeans make me feel great about my larger post-baby body...and they are very flattering all over. Absolutely go for it if you're on the fence...I have a feeling you'll be delighted like I was!

Love them, but wish...
I love these jeans, but I wish they were the exact same as last year's (2013) "clean elasticity blue" in fabrication... these are not quite as stretchy and don't fit quite as well, but compared to 99% of denim out there, they are a dream come true. However, the color of blue on these jeans is far more practical/real denim like. It is still a nice dark wash that can be dressed up or dressed down. Also the "flare" part of the leg seems just ever so slightly wider, which I also like, because I apparently must have muscular/larger calves than average. I'm only 5'5", but for whatever reason I always need like 34" inseam (33" minimum to not have high waters), and these are a great length! For help with fit: I'm a 24" natural waist, 34.5" high hip (at hip bone top) , 37.5" lower hip/butt, (fairly thick thighs 20" at the inner top circumference), 34C on top...so I'm pretty curvy, and don't fit the exact standard measurements, so that is why these stretchy jeans are a dream for me! I also like that they are more of a true mid rise, so I don't have to worry about anything showing etc. Also they have real pockets, and that is so hard to find in "jegging" like jeans, let alone styles that are not "skinny" (which I personally hate and think looks terrible on people other than boy shape bodies). Also these are SUPER comfortable, and retain their shape. Over all these are great, and they hold up to wear/tear, multiple washings/dryings etc. If the price point could come down that would be great, but to me, these are still worth the high price point! I hope that this review helps, and that those of you who do purchase these jeans or any of the "second skin" type jeans from 7 for all Mankind, love them as much as I do!

Finally! A pair of black 7's!
I've been scouring the Internet for good black jeans, and here they are. As I'd hoped, these 7's are all that they should be. My last pair were too short to wear with my signature high heels (boots, sandals, or pumps), but the length on these is just right. Here in the Pacific Northwest, jeans are an every day wear. My "uniform" is jeans with heels, a feminine blousy top, and a down coat--every day except for the middle of August, when the coat exchanges for a sweater. 7's, Joe's, and C for H with a couple of Paige's are my go-to brands. These 7's are sleek, rich in color, and give the leg a long, lean look. Yes, part of that illusion is from the high heels, but mostly it's the superb cut of the leg, which gives enough room for upper-thigh curves, but a skinny lower thigh and knee with a gentle enough flare to cover the shoe without a break.I find that by buying quality jeans (like these 7's), I always have clothes I want to wear, and they last for many, many washings. I ought to know--I have more than 100 animals, and I wash my jeans with every wearing. Do turn them inside-out and never dry them more than a few minutes, and they'll last and last. Treat yourself and look sharp every single day!
