My seat-of-the-pants perspective is this. Smoother idle, better acceleration, and more power at cruising speeds. The engine had an intermittent rough idle problem which was reduced. To be fair I also installed an ACCEL Super Coil purchased through (gasp!) ebay. I did NOT have high expectations. I did this mainly to install heavy-duty/high performance parts. My vehicle, a 1995 Chevy Astro van, had the factory parts on it. It should be noted that the connections were slightly corroded. This could have contributed to my idle problem and lower performance. As a retired Air Force Electronics Technician I did pay careful attention to a solid installation. I've always been happy with ACCEL's high quality. I was able to mitigate the correspondingly high price by shopping around (Thanks desertcart).
