I've had this for a couple of months now. Thus far it's doing quite well. It does tend to get warm if you leave it attached to your PC/laptop for over an hour. For that reason, I started using it merely as a secondary back up feature ONLY. I do not use it as a working disk.Cons: Very difficult to open. I had to watch YouTube reviews to make sure I was opening it correctly and there wasn't a hidden switch, knob, or something. I scratched the surface trying to pry it open. But once I got it open all was well.Runs hot after prolonged use. The case gets pretty hot. Which means the SSD is baking in there. Yikes! I highly recommend not leaving it plugged into your USB for extend periods.It seems a bit pricey for what it is, but that could be me.

This is my second Fideco NMVE Enclosure, no problem with either one.as other have mention before, this enclosure is a little hard to open, since the removable cover is smooth, I added a small piece of tape in order to get some grip and it works.no issues with overheating, since this is a portable enclosure, I do not keep it connected for hours and hours.

This adapter changed the SSD solid state of my abandoned computer into a mobile U disk. I use it to make a Windows startup disk. His speed is very fast, and his calorific value is not very high. The volume is very small and the portability is also very good.

Used the product for making clone of current smaller SSD in laptop to larger one. Then using older one for either another laptop or as backup drive. Unit performed properly got thru the partitions and re-sizing though Macrium Reflect did not do a perfect job but that is another issue. Clone was not lightning fast but is probably due to the free Macrium metering down to make u buy the Premium version.The 2280 sized bumper is fairly tight fit and made sure to place card in bumper and then push it into hole, not tite fit as a srew but lends itself to make swaps and use different drives if u need. Comes with blue thermal [ad that makes a snug fit transferring heat to the metal case.I would not use any passive case for continued operations of the NVME drives as they all get rather hot but this unit had very gud reviews so knew that it would run in my short term use cases. SO many other units had reliability and over-heating issues so getting a gud unit is paramount.

If your USB port is anything less than usb 3.0 (ie 2.0), it will corrupt your SSD and you will loose all your data. This happens instantly when you plug it into a standard USB type A female port that is not USB 3.0 or above. Unfortunately it is only backward compatible to USB 3.0 yet the type A female USB ports look identical. If you are not sure, test it without any critical data on the SSD. The symptoms will be you will hear the system acknowledge a new USB device, and then instantly it will disappear along with your data. You will need to reformat the SSD on a system that has USB 3.0; 3.1, or 3.2 supported type A or Type C support. BE AWARE. THE DESCRIPTION SAYS IT IS BACKWARD COMPATIBLE TO USB 3.0. SO BUYER BEWARE! Be sure of what you are plugging it into before you plug it in. Your data is gone instantly if you plug into a USB 20 port!

This enclosure is of high quality with a solid feel. I used it to upgrade to a Samsung 970 EVO SSD and it worked perfectly. I used the Samsung data migration app and was done in less than 20 minutes at 152 MB/s. Swapped out the drive and laptop boots up quicker than before.

Wow....this little device allowed me to clone my M.2 SSD for my memory upgrade. I got it done in about 7 minutes. I love it and it did run a little hot but it did an amazing job.

Overheats like an iron, is not compatible with all SSD (i guess). I plug on workstation and is worse than a floppy disk (slow and with errors constantly)...ended up installing SSD inside of cpu tower as i wasn't able to use as external disk, and this case is resting in the bottom of a drawer.for me took long to start using so I lost warranty, but honestly very bad product...I'm usually 5 star guy...not for thisIs not worth either the money or the time. Doesn't work as advertised

Buenos materiales. Funciona al 100% sin problemas. La verdad es que es muy buen producto por el precio.Tenia tiempo que necesitaba un buen adaptador externo para nvme, pero o eran caros, o se veian muy delicados. Este me encanto.

This product works great. It's very easy to get the NvME drives in and out. The little rubber drive clasp takes a bit of fiddling to install, but it's durable.

Bought this m.2 nvme Ssd enclosure to upgrade my macbook pro’s ssd, everything went great without any issues. It has usb c adapter and normal usb cable included to make the process even easier. After upgrading I will be using this enclosure as an external ssd drive, which makes this enclosure a really great buy for me. I like how it also fits every size of the nvme ssds, for other kinds of laptops that use a smaller ssd module for space saving. As I am still using it as an external ssd, then I will be updating this review if anything goes wrong in this process.

I've used both this and another, more expensive brand. This one wins in terms of ease of installing the M2 drive, and it gives great performance. It comes with both USB-A and USB-C connecters. Recommended product!
