Are you what Everyone Deserves?
If you are like me, you've read many books on leadership and management. This is my latest and I learned and was reminded a lot. That doesn't mean the principles covered are all new. They are not. Some may be new and become a "light bulb moment" for you. But they are all presented in the authors' own voice and includes their experiences you can only get here. Often, hearing an idea or principle described in a different voice and experience is what I need to really internalize it. That happened for me many times inside this book.Since I do work from home I appreciated the numerous references to situations for those of us who do.One of the highlights that stood out to me was the emphasis on listening, an often missing link in all human interactions.I enjoyed it, learned from it, plan to re-read it and believe you will too.

The title says it all - Everyone Deserves A Great Manager.
A great book in the same vein of the 7 Habits. I enjoyed the book and plan on using the techniques here in my daily life.

Straight to the point
This book gets straight to the point of developing leadership skills.I appreciate the lack of fluff and the absence of generic testimonial stories. This book does a good job of outlining, explaining, and offering tips in six areas of leadership competency; making it easy to implement the ideas quickly. My favorite area of the book dealt with adopting a leadership mindset, which is different from the mindset of an individual contributor. There are far too many leaders out there with individual contributor mindsets, who think they are still delivering results on their own, when in fact, their job is to deliver results through other people.

It’s all about your people
I recently left a position and was forced to reinvent myself, not because of compensation but because or poor or ineffective leadership and a culture that didn’t lift up individual team members to achieve personal and organizational growth and success. This practical volume has great strategies and practical advice to help leaders, teams, and organizations reach their full potential. Any organization can benefit from the lessons in this book. Schools and government organizations could benefit greatly by changing their hierarchical mindset by learning and practicing effective leadership. Take care of your people, don’t micromanage, and build and nourish effective and diverse teams are just part of the topics taught. Another great book on leadership from the FranklinCovey team.

Very basic 101
The information in here sound but he’s so absolutely basic and if anybody’s moving into a management role they should already have these skills under their belt.. So for a new manager I think it could be helpful for someone with any experience you’ll find this is a review of the very basic fundamentals so I felt a bit misled with this purchased didn’t add much value to me
