I make my own dog food for my 3 dogs in large batches. I was looking for a freezing and storage solution and this was the perfect idea! I bought the 1/2 cup portion size, and it is perfect. I fill the trays and freeze them, and they are super easy to clean. Very happy I bought this. I struggled with how to portion food before, and it was a mess. These make the process so much cleaner and easier. This would be great for soups as well. I may purchase more in the future.

These portion pods are exactly what is needed to portion and freeze my dogs' bone broth. The pods are accurately sized, the broth cubes pop out with little effort, and they are stackable.I make about 2 gallons of broth at a time, skim the fat, filter the gritty stuff, and pour into 1/2 cup portion pods. These trays stack six tall in my freezer, so I get the full 2 gallons into 12 trays without taking up the whole freezer.I checked with the maker of the silicone cubes. They look like they might be superior in some ways, but they can't stack with liquids in them, so they're out of the running.I am buying a single new tray today because after 3 years of use 8 times per year, one of my trays split when I was twisting it to remove the cubes. This is the first failure I've seen, and I suspect it is the biggest weak spot for these trays.To address some of the negative reviews . . .The lid is loose fitting. This is true, but it shouldn't be a problem. These trays are not designed for long-term storage. They are designed to freeze your food into uniform chunks that you can transfer to freezer bags. If your freezer stays around zero, the cubes won't stick together in the bags.They take up too much space. True again, but, again, they're not designed for long-term storage. Freeze your stuff, transfer to bags, and wash the trays for later use. That said, they DO take up an excessive amount of space in storage, because they don't nest at all, and they are an odd size that won't fit neatly into any storage boxes I've found. I'm not sure how to make them nest while still being stackable when full, but if anyone comes up with a portion pod equivalent that stores and stacks, I'll be buying a bunch of 'em.For those who say the portion size is inaccurate, the pods are liquid measure. If you are trying to fit 4 oz of, say, chili into the pod, it will not fit, because chili is less dense than liquid. The pods hold 1/2 cup of liquid, or 1/2 cup volume of whatever you're wanting to freeze.Bottom line, these are not perfect. But they're the best option I've found for this task. If Progressive is reading this, please look into making your trays more storage friendly and more durable for the amount of twisting required to get the portions out of the pod. I'll be happy to test any new designs you might come up with.

These make it easy to freeze individual serving for me and my husband. We do t go through leftovers like we did when children were home. We can take out just what we need. Highly recommend.

I use these all the time when I’m freezing pesto, sauces, herb oil, herb butter, etc. They’re convenient and work great. I wish they were square or rectangular instead the rounded shape, because I find them harder to get out without chipping off large pieces from the “cube”. And, unfortunately, the silicone flap on top always sticks when I use it. But, for the most part, it works well and doesn’t take up much space, is machine washable, and makes storing things much easier.

I use these trays weekly for rice, lentils, sauces, leftovers… the size is perfectly portioned to meal prep. I had to buy more after the first tray because I use this constantly. I have 4 1/2 cup size and one cup size portion tray. (I use the cup size for soups)

I am a single women and frequently use my Foodsaver to seal food I have cut into individual portions. This works perfectly to freeze soups and leftovers. The frozen 2 cup portions fit perfectly into my freezer bags freeing the container for refills. Love it!

I use this for soups and sauces. And it's so easy now to freeze these portions and put in a baggie to share with my neighbors.No more sharing plastic storage containers and then them having to wash and return them.It takes up less space in my freezer this way.I'm very happy with this purchase!

I love these. Only one issue: the closure isn't the best. I have seen icicles form under the lid. You might be better off cutting a sheet of wax paper to fit just inside. After they initially freeze apply the wax paper (this is a pain, but it helps a little.)

This is fantastic for freezing one cup portions. I have two of them. I can make a big pot of soup and portion them. Once frozen they can go in a zip lock bag. My vet recommended canned pumpkin when my dog gets sick but I found it frustrating because I only needed a small amount and the rest would get wasted. Now I freeze whatever I don't use and it's always available when needed. None of these things are life changing, but just little things to make life easier.

um item que ajuda muito na cozinha. Já usei para congelar extrato de tomate, molho de tomate, molho pesto, ervas com azeite , ervas com água etc. É muito prático de retirar os "cubos" depois de congelados, fácil de lavar e vai na lava - louças. Tem um detalhe muito interessante, quando retira-se o produto congelado, o cubo congelado vem com a gravaçao em relevo da medida. Assim quando você vai fazer uma receita e precisa usar uma determinada quantidade de ervas ou outro tempero, você tem a referência de quanto tem em cada cubo. Adorei!!!

Was bigger than I thought, Just fit the freezer draw. The blue cover was loose took 4 days for the frost to start. mental note to rebag once frozen to fix that problem.the last picture Is my food-saver bags. great to keep the frostbite out and more space in freezer draws.also bought the 2-cup freezer pods good for soup will do the same after the food is frozen and placed into my food saver bags no frostbit then.

I really like this frozen storage container. I can freeze left-over soup in individual serving sizes - making a batch of soup or broth last longer without becoming tired of eating the same thing until it's gone. One problem is that the lid doesn't really "fit" on the container, so you have to be careful not to tip it when you put it in your freezer! Once frozen, you simply let them stand at room temperature for a few minutes and pop them into reusable silicone freezer bags. Really handy!
