Great activities
This was so fun! I got it for my kids to work together and it worked! Usually they fight and are grumpy doing things together! Ages 17-4. I love how many different activities it has, we still haven't done them all!

Less than exciting gift
So, we expected to make some candy, and we did. We made what, 10 tiny jelly beans that were kinda weird. I just expected more from this kit. My kids had fun making the jelly beans so the activity didn't disappoint the kids. Just the mama.,

Needs adult supervision.
Fun “chemistry “ cooking. Kids enjoyed it.

Sweet! But not gluten free.
In my opinion, the most important thing about a craft kit is that you can hand it off to your kids and they can complete the project without help from the adult, so the adult gets a few moments of peace. I have children aged 5, 10, 12 and 13 so finding kits that meet this criteria without being too babyish for the elders is often a challenge. I have found that the Klutz kits normally have great instructions and the kids can complete them on their own. My kids love to cook and it is not unusual for them to make dinner, and what kid doesn't like candy, so I thought this would be right up their alley.First disappointment is that the kit is not gluten free. My 10 year olds have celiac and thus could not partake.I like the science twist to it but let's be honest . . . the kids are in it for the candy. They were able to complete most projects with little to no assistance from me, but I did have to help in a few random spots. The results were fun and OK. Let's face it . . . they don't taste or look as good as the candy you buy in the store. But the kids didn't seem to mind, it tasted better because they had made it themselves.Honestly have mixed feelings about this set . . . it was a lot of work with small results . . .

This product straight up SUX
Bought this as a special treat for my 4 kids (15, 13, 10, 9) who are stuck home due to the Pandemic. I trust this brand and was sure the kids would have some fun and enjoy some sweet treats. Instead, it was AWFUL. Hard to use, inedible jelly beans, recipes that needed lots of other ingredients and supplies. Seriously?! What the actual heck. Ended up at the local grocery store buying jelly beans because we were all craving them after this disappointment.

Tasty STEM project
This is a fun kit. Some of them are a little more complicated, but if you follow the directions, the candy comes out very nice. It tastes good. It's a fun little project and my 10 year old was able to do it mostly on her own. The candies are brightly colored and overall, we enjoyed making these.

Disappointed
I was super excited to give this to my 7 year old daughter. She loves the Tasty Science kit so I thought for a girl who loves candy this would be perfect. I was disappointed by this product because the kit only includes ingredients to make jelly beans. They provide a recipe book for a few other candy options but it requires additional ingredients we don't have at home normally - i.e. gelatin or imitation flavors. She was very frustrated that we couldn't make a few things, just one. Tasty Science is a much better option.

Great educational opportunity
This is a great way to teach kids a little food science! It's super fun and you get to eat the projects! Klutz always makes great products, and this is no exception. Super easy instructions for making your own jelly beans! Plenty more projects using regular kitchen ingredients, too.
