I bought it just to try it and I was glad. This is a good crab meat, recommend it, my wife loves it, try it with salmon.

I bought this canned crab meat as a Christmas gift for my father-in-law because he specifically asked for it. It may be one of the more unusual gifts I have purchased, but I took the request as a pretty strong sign that he already knew and liked the product. The 6-ounce can is a convenient size for recipes, and the lump-style pieces make it useful for crab cakes, dips, soups, or other dishes where you want real crab without dealing with shells or fresh seafood prep. Since the label says to drain it before use, it is easy to keep on hand until needed. I did not personally cook with it, so I cannot speak to the flavor firsthand, but the recipient was happy to receive it and had requested this exact item. Apparently, some people want socks for Christmas and some people want crab meat. 🦀🎄

Shells, sand, smell, slimy water. No lumps just shreds of bad-tasting material. That poor crab, to be reduced to this. Horrible product. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT regardless of price.

I worked in a cannery in Sitka, Alaska that processed fish and King Crab. Then I worked in a Dungeness Crab cannery in Gouldsboro, Maine for a Summer. I'm a bit biased when it comes to the flavour of crab meat. This would be a 2 on my scale, but it will do when you can't get the real thing.

It is food - it goes well with other food

Will make a great inexpensive seafood risotto but one of the cans was dented.
