**Q: What is the pilot hole size?**
A: I think I used 7/32 bit.

**Q: Can an impact driver be used to install these screws?**
A: Yes! Pre drilled with 7/32" drill bit and then used a Ridgid impact driver to set the Dorman 370-225 stew into metal through 1/4" pre drilled wood floor planks.

**Q: What size torx do you need and is 7/32 but the right size bit?**
A: They take a t30 torx and yes a 7/32 drill bit the screws are 1/4 inch.

Each time we have to replace our pressure treated decking on our trailers, we use these self tapping heavy duty screws. They don’t back out, there is minimal corrosion, and they hold fast. I suggest using a 1/2” corded drill, you will need the power and torque, we’ve found cordless drills or ratchets smaller than 1/2” do not perform as well.
