This product was great for the first 30 minutes I ever used it, until it randomly switched to strobe blue and would NOT change to any other setting. At first it was awesome, I loved the gradual setting and the remote worked fine. Now it is stuck on strobe blue no matter how many times we unplug it and plug back in and use the remote. Really disappointed in this product because it has the potential to emit amazing lights off my disco ball. I make disco balls and am always on the hunt for a better more efficient spotlight, and thought I had done enough research on this specific light but apparently not. Now the search for a quality colorful spotlight continues! UPDATE: the customer service team responded quickly and sent me a new light within a few days. This one worked GREAT! The remote works and the gradual changing lights are magical. Although I wish that this light had a on/off button on the product itself, it’s a quality light that gives the desired effects on my disco balls!

I have had a number of pin spots over the years using them on disco balls and this is my favorite so far. It was about $15 cheaper than the American DJ all white one this replaced. I was skeptical about the 15 w brightness claim with the bonus of the extra colors and blending modes for less money but decided to give this one a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. It certainly was much brighter than its predecessors and it really does shine light strong enough to make a mirror ball project well. The 4 color modes together with the blending/program modes give enough variation, some more colors would be nice, but on the mirror ball it isn't a big deal for me. It stays cool after using for 6 hrs. The focus range (making projection smaller/larger) could be a little larger but it hasn't been an issue when setting up. The remote is easy to use and works well. The housing is plastic and the screw and metal plate for attaching it to a surface does not feel super durable but for something that doesn't move much or is safely out of the way it seems good enough. Over all I think with the brightness and color options on this led pin spot you just can't beat the value. There are a few extra features like dmx or more colors, etc that would be nice but they start to appear on lights 2 or 3 times the cost of this one.

Bought two of these. Both stopped working after a few times using them. First use out of the box worked fine. Then after a few uses they are stuck just flashing. They will not change to any other setting. I was hoping they would be a good value but I am really disappointed. Update: Great customer service getting back to me quickly and even giving a refund. Wish it would have worked, but I am very pleased with their response.

There's no power switch only a remote. The remote does light on each key press so guessing something burnt out on 2nd attempt to turn it on. The product performed exactly what I needed it to do which was to provide a very targeted bright light (in a circle) on the floor. This product does much more than this as it relates to multiple colors and comes with a nice remote to turn on and off, as well, switch the colors. UPDATE: Reached out to customer service for this product and they're sending me a new unit. Will continue to update this review based on details after I reinstall.

Trying to reach them via email the unit is perfect for my spotlight in my golf simulator. I could almost live with no remote of there was an on and off switch.

This is a nice little light--features and colors are great. Remote is good. But one caution before you buy .... I had this mounted to my daughter's bed frame and aimed up at a disco ball on her ceiling. While making her bed, her fleece blanked caused a zap of static electricity that shorted out the light. It became unresponsive to the remote. Thinking it was a fluke, we returned the light and got a replacement. Just a couple days later, the same thing happened again. Probably will go with a different light next time and mount to the wall instead.

I bought this to replace the old spotlight that got Really hot after a bit of use, and I was excited that you could change the color too! I have an 8" disco ball on a shelf and I mounted the light just over 3' above. It's delightfully compact, yet sturdy and doesn't get hot! The light is bright and easy to adjust with distance. Better than perfect replacement for my old one. And the customer representatives are truly cool. When I got mine, it didn't come with the remote. I contacted Amazon and explained, I loved the light, I just needed the remote. After some dense customer service people, one refunded my order after I expressly told him I didn't want that. Since then Amazon brushed off my issue since refunding it had resolved it on THEIR end. Finally I was able to contact the light company and after a few hiccups, I'm supposedly going to get that remote from the nice reps at jlpow. EDIT: After 5 months of back and forth with jlpow, I found out that I wasn't even sent the right light. Some no-brand light was sent to me. Luckily theres no money lost but damn, people. So I get a light with no remote and no color changing and I'll be looking for a replacement product elsewhere. If i got a free replacement of the CORRECT item that I ORDERED maybe I'd be a bit less pissed.

This item is what I have been needing for years. I bought a mirrored ball when I was a teenager. I am now 62 and I finally found what I was looking for. I bought two. It makes a prefect light circle and it will focus. It does not have an iris so to change the size of the light, you need to move it closer or further away. It is bright enough to use in a light room, but in the dark works best. The seller is easy to work with. One of the lights came in defective. When I contacted seller, they said that happens and offered to replace or return. My option. I chose to replace. When it came in it was also bad. They sent a new one right out. Now I have two good lights for my mirrored ball and my granddaughter loves it. She is three.

It feels a bit light and cheap when you initially unbox it (also, my unit had fingerprints all over the lens) but it works perfectly.

I returned it. It's very very cheap. if you are looking to do shoots with it or spotlights in your home... it's too low power. I can't imagine for a show or something.
