Wireless Charger for Honda Civic

First my specifics: Google Pixel 9, clear Spidgen case (TPU). I plugged the CarQi charger into a 40 watt lighter adapter, instead of the smaller charger that came with the unit. My charger has two USB-C and one USB-1 sockets. My 2021 Honda Civic LX has VERY little space for stashing a phone to charge it, and without permanently adhering a magnetic or adhesive mount somewhere, there's really no good place to put a phone holder for use in navigation while driving. Enter the CarQiWireless wireless charger. So far, it's pretty much perfect! 1) Under a minute to install 2) Looks and fits like OEM equipment 3) Charges at a steady, but not stunning, speed Others have mentioned that it's annoying to have to turn it on every time. I haven't had that experience. After turning on the key and starting the car, the green LED on the front comes on by itself and the charger is active. Maybe it's a new version? I don't know. But I never have to turn it on manually. Others have said that their phone slide around when they take sharp corners. YMMV, but I have not had that problem with my phone in the Spidgen TPU case. Perhaps the TPU material, and the rubber pad on the top of the charger, work well together. But regardless, the phone stays securely in one spot. Charging speed: I have only used it over the course of a couple of 15 minute drives, but during those drives, with navigation running and the screen on, charge level on the phone went up about 2% on each drive. So with screen on and nav running, I'd expect charge level to climb about 10% per hour. Good for maintaining charge during a trip, or topping off. But you won't get true quick charging. Nor would I expect to. Some have reported that with the screen on, and nav running, their phone got very hot. Over a 30 minute drive, with screen on and nav running, there was not noticeable warming of my Pixel 9. The best part? The charger holds my phone in a position, and at an angle, that works well for navigation. This solved my problem of finding a phone holder for charging and viewing during trips. HIGHLY recommended, with absolutely zero reservations. If you are considering it, just click BUY!

This works great for my Galaxy S22 phone with an Otter Box Defender case. Only charging issue I have come across is my phone will not charge when using Pandora with the Pandora app on the infotainment system but I play Pandora on the phone and use Bluetooth the phone charges just fine. this is most likely a software issue more than the charging unit. The fitment is perfect inside the dash cubby hole. Simply plug the power cable to the unit, micro USB side. Then slide the unit into place dropping the power cord down through the pass through hole at the back right corner of the cubby. It's an access to run the wire cleanly down to the power port on the right lower side of the center console. Plug in the power adaptor in to the power port and plug in the USB plug into the power adaptor. Turn on the power switch and simply set your phone down to charge. On the 10th Gen Honda Civics with automatic transmission, the gear shift gets in the way with it in the park position but has good access when its in the drive position. Compared to the Honda unit avail. this is a huge bargain. Honda wants $250.oo for there unit which is probably this same unit anyhow.

I installed this in my Honda Civic (2016–2021) and it fits really well — it looks OEM and keeps the console area much cleaner than having cables everywhere. The extra USB port is a nice bonus for charging another device. Durability/quality: it feels solid and has held up fine with daily use. Ease of use: install was straightforward and the pad stays in place. Wireless charging: it works, but it’s sensitive to phone placement and thick cases. If the phone shifts while driving, charging can pause until you re-center it. With a thinner case (or no case), it’s much more consistent. Value: good upgrade if you want a cleaner setup and don’t mind being a little careful with alignment. Overall, I’m happy with it — just expect wireless charging to be a bit “pickier” than a cable.

When I purchased the car (european model), the dealer asked for €300 for the wireless charging package. Way too much for something not even implemented correctly. Some of my friends that ordered the car with the original wireless charging package complained that when the phone is on the pad it will move from its correct position when accelerating or braking harder and it will stop charging. When I saw this wireless charging pad I was impressed with how it looks comparing to other similar solutions. At the price of $39.99 it was worth to give it a try. The installation was very easy, the connector is USB-C and the way it fits is just incredible. No one will guess it's something that I installed, it looks like it's something that came with the car. I still have to test if it's real Quick Charge or not, the LED showing that it's charging or the charging is complete is very helpful and also it detects the phone and will start the charging only when you place your phone on the pad. When placing the phone on the silicone pad it will simply not move anywhere. I personally think this is an awesome addition for the car and the way it's designed is just perfect. I highly recommend it and I'm glad I didn't purchased the official Honda one.

This charger fits perfectly in my Honda Civic Touring 2016. It's not too bulky and works as advertised. The light looked like it would be a little bright at night, but its not and certainly not distracting. It's a little pricey, but considering it looks like it came with the car, I'd say it's worth it. This charger works great with the wireless carplay adapter I just got too, Carlinkit 2.0. Update: I meant to make this update long time ago but forgot and got caught up with life.. anyways, this charger does not work. It worked the first day I used it and hasn’t worked since. It will connect like it’s charging, and then within a minute or two disconnects and does not start “charging” again until u pick it up and put it back down. Also, the charging area is very small, I have to position it just right to get it to start “charging”. I’ve removed it from my car and I’m back to looking for a replacement wireless charger.

Feels well made and fits in the compartment quite nicely. Very convenient not having to plug my phone with a wire, coupled with wireless android auto/carplay, it's a great combo! But functionally, not too great. As everyone says, it makes the phone very hot even with my wireless fast charging turned off. And because of the heat, my device turns off wireless charging to protect my battery and doesn't charge my phone. Doesn't help I drive almost two hours to work, so short trips may be fine and I don't recommend using it on long car rides.

I had a few different options for a wireless charging pad in my Civic and I’m glad I went with this one. This looks to be their second generation of the charging pad CarQiWireless offers on the Civic. They kept it very simple, clean and effective. I have an iPhone 12 Pro and I read many older reviews where this phone and other newer ones did not work with this. However that is not the case here, as my phone works perfectly about 99% of the time. Very rarely, if I’m driving/cornering a little too hard, the phone can slide a bit and start blinking. This is very rare. If it does happen, I simply turn off the pad, center the phone and turn it back on to continue charging. I took a quick video to show you how truly easy it is to install into place. I recommend plugging in the USB-C end into the charging pad first, route it through to the cigarette lighter and then plug it into the cigarette charging adapter. Phone charges fast as well. Not as fast as my 20w Apple charger, but none the less it is fast enough for me. In my 20-30 minute commute, I can quickly charge from 70-95% easy. I highly recommend this charger and think it’s well worth the money at $40-50. I didn’t want the hassle of the OEM install and price. Do I wish it had a t-harness like their first generation did and OEM does? Yes. But not a deal breaker at all!

Was good now it sucks at charging after 6 months

Me gustó mucho el producto, tengo 10 días utilizándolo y funciona de manera correcta (tienen que utilizar el adaptador a USB que viene ya que requiere mínimo 3Amperes). El plástico se siente de calidad y encaja muy bien con la estética del auto, si alguien no sabe que es un aditamento de terceros ni se da cuenta. No se calienta el aparato(El teléfono es el que se calienta, como en cualquier teléfono cuando está cargando). Lo he probado con un Galaxy S23 Ultra, un S21, y un ZFlip4 sin problema. No se que tal funcione con Iphones pero no debería tener problema.

Conectado al mechero con un adaptador rápido carga perfectamente, en mi caso un ZFold 5. Encaja a la perfección en el espacio del coche y con una antena Motorola conectada, se conecta sin problemas y carga al mismo tiempo.

Unfortunately the item description does not state that this item if for left hand cars only so not suitable for UK Honda Civic.

Fits and looks completley like an OEM Charger, only downside is the charging speed is not incredibly fast.
