EQUUS8264 2" Electric Oil Pressure Gauge with Multi Color Back Light

This is a really nice gauge. Please see all the photos I’ve included. The color is actually slightly off-white. The gauge comes with the red green and blue covers for the lightbulb. However, I wanted to put in LEDs. easy to install and works very well and looks great in my hot rod.

Used on 93 s10 with 4.3 v6.As I said ground case of oil sender .Use a hose clamp on sender, a length of wirestrip one end about 1/2" place it under clamp,tighten securely,place a lug on other end and attach to engine oil pan.No leaks and perfectly grounded. System works great.

I got this for my older Honda that did not come with any way to read oil pressure. The light is bright and comes with the jelly things to cover the light bulb and change the color. Only issue I had was when installing the oil pressure sending unit on the block I broke one of the post off. Totally my fault ! I fix it by soldering the wire on, again my fault.

It is a very hard thing to find this particular product.The photos are perfect.Everything is as promoted.I just wish i could find on in Black, but these colors are great so im stoked.

I have used Equus gauges in many projects and their quality is hard to beat for the price. They come with everything you need to install, including bulb cover for different colors, adapters for the sensors, everything but the relays and wiring.

Went through a few gauges of other brands. Finally just fed up with junk and ordered the equus oil pressure gauge. Finally something accurate and no issues! Installed in my 89 Foxbody works great! Only problem the light bulb isn't that bright but i got LED bulbs and fixed the problem.

Purchased for a 2003 F150 XL. Gauge comes with everything except the wire lengths needed to connect (not uncommon). Sending unit is a two wire design; one for the gauge and one for a warning light if your vehicle is so equipped. Three terminals on the gauge itself; ground, power, and sending unit. The light is incandescent (not LED) and uses a separate wiring harness.I use an oil filter adapter plate to provide terminal ports because the factory port in the block is too inaccessible for an aftermarket sending unit. This adapter plate is powder coated. This is critical because the sending unit must be grounded to the engine block to complete the circuit. It says in the instructions, "do not use thread sealant or Teflon tape." There is no way to connect a bonding strip or jumper wire to the sending unit to complete this ground circuit. The unit is grounded when it is screwed into the engine block.This is a problem because the oil filter adapter plate is electrically isolated from the engine block because of the rubber gasket between it and the oil filter mounting location on the engine block. Additionally, I suspect that the powder coating on the adapter plate further interrupts the ground connection.Gauge was installed but readings were erratic or sometimes non existent. It's very likely that this was a grounding problem. If you use an adapter plate to provide sending unit ports, you may have the same problem.Additionally, I mounted this gauge in an A pillar gauge pod. Because this gauge uses a threaded collar for installation, fitment within the pod was tricky, at best. Not the best gauge for this type of mount.
