Mine lasted 18 months. Considering it was a replacement for a different tank that lasted 5 years, I consider that pretty poor.

It comes with the proper pressure. Over time, the pressure will get too low. Go on YouTube to For instructions on how to re-pressurize.

What's the recommended pressure to keep on the bladder? 8psi?

Pre-charge with 5-7 psi of air pressure. When tank is full it may reach 45 to 50 psi of pressure depending on your RO system.
