A great little mini iron.
I use this mini-iron in my quilting and it works terrific. It has various temps and works very well. It's perfect for all my sewing needs that work better for small projects.

Sure gets HOT
I'm using this to iron on veneer edging and it's working fine. Only burned myself twice. Dang it gets hot. I'm going to find a way to protect my fingers ... maybe a silicone potholder? I have two and was going to return the first one because it wouldn't come on...then the 2nd came and I realized there was nothing wrong with the 1st...the cord has an on/off switch I had failed to notice. So now I have two and one is going to my daughter for Christmas. Not sending it back after all!

Fantastic little tool
I use this tool for my needle felting to calm down wild fibers. There is an option for different heads but I don't seem to need them. Shipment was very fast.

Unit works well, stand doesn't
Unit works well and has 3 heat settings as well as an on/off switch ( although I always unplug it after use for safety. ) The stand does not work very well as the unit rotates and touches it, melting the stand. I use a silicone pad instead made to resist the heat of an iron. I like the "cage" around the wand to prevent inadvertent finger burns.

Love my Mini Iron II
I was torn between buying the regular Mini Iron and the Mini Iron II because I wasn't really sure if I would need the extra attachments that come with the Mini Iron II. However, I'm very glad I bought the one with the adapter because I have discovered that I do indeed need the accessories! I use my MIni Iron II for small projects like 1/4" seams on patchwork quilts and for ironing down binding strips. I hated using my big, bulky iron before because I was constantly burning my fingers or scorching them with the steam. I have yet to burn myself since using this. I'm purchasing the bigger head because I think it will come in handy for navigating the larger patchwork pieces once they are seamed together. The only drawbacks I've had so far is that the high setting is VERY hot, more suitable for using the hot knife than for ironing cotton and the iron takes a while to reach temperature. It's also notable that the small clover stand that comes with the iron doesn't have very good grip and it's a constant struggle to keep it on the ironing board. I usually have to put it on a work table beside me, which worries me because I have small children. This would make the larger cooling stand a good purchase, but for safety reasons should be the one they include with the iron. All in all, a good tool to have for quilting and I'm sure for countless other projects.

I loved
Very easy to use and works very well. At first I thought it was a little expensive for what he does. But it works very well, it's worth every penny.

Works but dangerous design of product
It takes a long time to heat up so it is hard to judge at first which heat setting to use. Light tells you it’s on, not that it is ready. The highest setting is molten. It worked on medium for attaching waterproof seaming tape to a raincoat, so it worked for my purpose. It’s just a dangerous design. Very easy to burn yourself on the unit (strange cover only protects so far since the way the cord works, the unit moves in unexpected directions). The worst part is the stand. It does not in any way work as pictured - holding the unit in place without moving. It’s flimsy and flops around unexpectedly. The metal on the stand gets hot too so it burned me as well when I took the unit off the stand and the stand bounced up and hit me. I’m actually shocked how badly a product from a known sewing supply vendor is designed. Fix the cord swivel and design a stand that actually stays in place and this would be a good product.

Exactly what I needed and wanted!
I debated whether or not to purchase this iron because of the bad reviews. I bought it anyway, and I am so glad I did! I do a lot of quilt-as-you-go projects and ironing the seams was so difficult with a full-size iron. This iron is absolutely perfect. It does take a long time to heat up, but it has three temperature settings, and once it gets going, it's a real workhorse. I do agree with other reviewers that you have a tendency to press down on it, and the design doesn't really afford you that luxury, I am hoping that someday they can improve the design, but in the meantime, I will simply be very careful when I am using it.If it dies prematurely, I will update my review and remove stars - but for now - I'm extremely happy with this purchase!
