Relatively Easy To Build And Educational
I have fond memories of building electricity education kits with my dad in the '90s. Now that I have a daughter who is learning about electricity and electronics, I get to teach her.I have a subscription to Mark Rober's Crunch Crates. One of them had two motors as part of the project. The motors got stuck together because of the magnets inside. It occurred to me that I hadn't show my daughter how motors actually worked.Building this kit with my daughter did exactly that!

awesome STEM toy
This kit is a fantastic way to introduce kids to the fundamentals of electronics and how motors work. The assembly process is straightforward, thanks to the clear English manual that includes step-by-step instructions and useful precautions. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble, making it ideal for learning and experimenting. The motor works smoothly with a working voltage of 1.5V–6V (just don’t try 12V, as recommended). While it doesn’t include batteries, adding 4 AA batteries is simple. If the motor doesn’t start right away, the troubleshooting tips (like adjusting the copper brush and rotor alignment) are super helpful. My child loved assembling this kit—it’s engaging, educational, and a hands-on way to make science fun. Highly recommended for curious young minds and classroom science projects!

Warning: beware brush alignment to avoid short circuit
The media could not be loaded. This kit is mass produced, not finely-crafted. The instructions aren't that great. I mean at least print the photos on several sheets of paper and not cram a bunch of tiny pictures into one half sheet of paper. (That really wouldn't cost much.) And it rattles a lot and stuff when running. But it works, it's inexpensive, and the ones that cost twice as much usually have quite a few complaints that they're manufactured too cheaply too. So if every educational motor is going to be kind of low-quality anyway, might as well just get a cheap one. That's especially true if you don't really need the instructions because there's someone around who knows how these things work who can help put it together. My 4th grader managed to put it together about 90% correctly even with the bad instructions, so I wouldn't worry too much about the instructions unless you were looking for something that includes a book explaining how DC electric motors work. Needless to say, this is the sort of thing you buy when you just need the parts and can use other materials for the "textbook", not the sort of thing you buy for a complete educational activity kit.In short, it's good enough when you just need the parts to demonstrate the concepts and don't need a high-precision production electric motor.

It is a gross representation of an electric motor. Very educational.
Very interesting device. I actually got to work as a generator using a desktop steam engine.

Good quality product and learning tool
It is a great learning tool, instructors include but could be printed in a larger size so as to see pictures better and maybe a sheet telling how it works or a YouTube location to go to for both instructions and how it works. I sill have it Five stars because it I well built and it works!

Do not buy
Complete junk. Battery pack broke with second use. No functioning connectors for battery packs to motor. Do not waste your money.
