VISE-GRIP Adjustable Wrench, 8-Inch (2078608)

by far the best adjustable wrenches ive ever owned. i lost 2 of these in a full set and decided to buy them again.

I didn’t own a wrench and needed one to take apart my jiffy steamer. I had no idea what to choose but I chose well. The wrench can be used for very small to pretty large bolts, so I think I will only need this one ever. It was long enough to get leverage but not so long as to be unwieldy.

Purchased based on Wirecutter’s positive recommendation. Wrench is reliable - jaws stay set & handle is comfortable . Irwin tools are usually good quality.

Worked as expected but left on picnic table few days - sad to find rust but huess stainless steel not advertised though probably worth it (if not much more ).. not mechanically inclined npbut learning (got light use for mower maintenance etc, ) Way bettee than prior wrench and fits all sizes so good value (even if needs to be kept from rain)

I've really come around to Irwin hand tools in the past year. I'm a Maintenance Tech at a health care facility. I carry a Bucket Buddy with a group of select tools. The vast majority of them are now Irwin. This adjustable wrench has a great feel in your hand, doesn't bind up when adjusted tightly, smooth action while adjusting to proper size. I have NOT had it round off a bolt while using it but I'm generally not torquing on it a great deal. If a bolt is frozen I'd go grab a wrench set. All in all it's a great addition to my "bucket!"

I always buy irwin. Good quality for the price. I have found no need as a DIY to buy any other brand

Have had a couple adjustable crescent wrenches over the year and inevitably they break down. This is a sturdy, heavy feeling, quality tool. I expect it will last the test of time and abuse. This is the one you want.

Needed to replace my missing one. Wanted a trusted brand

Solid. Nut goes on. Nut comes off.
