A friend of mine had one of these and I’ve always fancied giving this a go but didn’t want to spend a fortune on something I didnt know I could do or not so I chose this one. Amazing value for money. Come with stencils, many different sized pen points and it’s so easy to use. As a complete novice I hadn’t a clue what I was doing but within a few minutes I was getting creative! Comes with instruction booklet so you’re able to use it safely and understand what not to do. Temperature gauge is a bit fiddly as it’s small but quickly got the hang of it. Any one who fancies trying pyrography I’d say this was the perfect starter kit , only other thing you’d need is your imagination. Well worth the cost.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a fixed branding iron, although quicker to use it would not offer me the flexibility of changing my Bespoke Design logo to suit the size of the project. As the number of projects I complete are small I thought a hand drafted logo was the right way forward. It dose not take long to do relative to the time taken to complete the timber project and its unique to each. Although the design of the iron does not allow you hold it as you would a pencil to get better point control you do get use to it and the finish is good if you take your time. As for most wood burning etchings completed by the experts the logo is traced from the master using carbon paper onto the wood. There are much more expensive alternatives available but this product is fit for purpose and can give good results with care, see photos.

This soldering/branding set for wood, metal and leather is an excellent bit of kit. Really good value at just under £20, it included a whole lot of decorative end bits to make many different designs. I bought it primarily for branding my own logo onto leather products and it achieves this very nicely. The branding iron heats up quickly and the temperature is adjustable. For the money I don't think you could get anything better. Delivery was super fast.

I simply love this Wood Burning Pyrography. I have a Cricut and usually do craft projects for my house and sometimes for some friends and now that it cuts wood, this gadget is a perfect addition so I can personalise even more my projects. It is well built and easy to use but you will be able to use it more efficiently if you are used with DIYs, Personal opinion: Great value for the money, works well on wood and I am about to try on some other materials, although I would not recommend if you are not used to it and it can cause burning (like any other wood-burning device)

Something I decided to try out during lockdown and this tool is good for starting out but if I keep it up I'll need to upgrade. The temperature control is not of much use as the lower temperatures don't seem to heat up enough to make marks. The handle itself also heats up pretty quickly and the tips start to come loose, so can only use for short amounts of time. I've added some pictures of what I've been able to achieve so far.

For what it is and how good the price was it is an amazing soldering/wood burning kit. We use it quite frequently and it is still working in September 2024. 3 years later! The temp adjustment is really handy for different wood/burning style. Great communication from the seller too.

Nice set, I bought 5 of these tools for Girl Guides to use. They are Easy to set up and use although do get a bit hot on the end so can’t use for too long. Great case to keep the tool in, nice and strong and makes storage of the tools easy. I bought a version from Hobbycraft before this and had to take them back as they were to hard to use and tripped the electric power out but these are far superior and the Guides enjoyed using them and felt they had learnt a skill. They do need good adult supervision as are very hot but I’m sure we will use many times in the future.

As a complete novice to burning shapes into wood, this product is quite easy to use. My only issue is the handle is quite a span from the work piece. Other than that it's quite easy to use. Plenty of practice will be required to be good at patterns and writing etc. For me its simply to hide screw holes the bottom of stools I'm making. I'm merely using the heart shaped piece provided in the box of bits along with a thin line bit to burn a 4 leaf clover with a little stem. I'm really happy as it looks good and hides the screw holes. At this moment in time I have no intention of using it for any other application.
