Great nasal lavage!
Having used nedi pots for years, I was curious to try this device. I like the idea of a constant source of water pressure that was variable (two different settings.) What I didn't like? The idea of having to purchase brand specific saline mix packets for the 16 oz water reservoir. I had enough packets come with the package so I haven't tried subbing another brand like Neilmed so that may change this review, but.....who knows! So far it works great. I recommend warming the water past comfortable at first for the saline to completely dissolve when you stir it. My old method was to use a porcelain nedi pot with water at a higher temperature & rinse out my sinuses in the shower. Well...until it slipped from the shower ledge & shattered on the bathroom tile. Not fun. Change of plans as this is a plugged in device you need to use over the sink. I think it's messier since I now need to use a washcloth to blow my nose into as I go along. I also think I've exchanged heat for water pressure. Since the water reservoir is plastic it can't take as high of a heat as the porcelain. You may also need two rounds of the sinus rinse for particularly rough days. It's easy to clean but use distilled water in the cleaning process as well. (Yes, they say you can use boiled water but wouldn't you rather make sure it was completely sterile?) All in all, this was a great buy & it's supposedly FSA eligible. Just don't go straight to something like this until you've done a few nasal rinses with a non-powered rinse like Neilmed. Highly recommended for those who suffer chronic sinus issues.

works great for sinuses and mouth
I got this because I had been battling a sinus infection for a couple of years. So many antibiotics (which make me sick and dizzy) have had little to no effect. Finally the infection got to the point that my ears were starting to feel like something was crawling in them 24/7. The Dr confirmed that it was fluid build up behind my ear drums caused by sinus inflammation. So I discussed options with him. We with with and optic antibiotic drop (yes the one you use for pink eye) and this machine. DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT CONSULTING YOUR DR PEOPLE. But we both agreed, if it's safe for my eyeball, it would be safe for my sinus cavity, and the pills weren't working. I put 2 drops in the tank and did a full flush on each side twice a day and within a week my ears were still. Within a month I noticed that I hadn't had a single sinus headache, which was a big change from having to take double doses of Advil and Tylenol along with pseudofedrine every 6 hrs just to survive the day. Now I see my kids snuffling and sneezing because it's allergy season again, but not me. I wish I could convince my family to try it, but the idea of washing inside your head bothers them. Then recently I began having some tooth pain, turns out it was an old cavity gone rogue killing the tooth, and it had to be extracted. Now I'm also using the water pick function to keep that area clean and also do the rest of my teeth while I'm at it. It's far more pleasant than I expected and works better than floss at getting some stuck particles. I still floss because water doesn't scrub the sides of your teeth, but both leaves my mouth feeling cleaner than flossing alone. I have had this for several months and haven't had any issues with it other than I wish there was a larger tank, but that's ok.

Perfect performance. No complaints at all.
First unit was DOA. The pump ran but would not prime with fluid. (Not a big deal, stuff happens in life) Returned the DOA for a replacement. Second unit perfect.I had called the manufacturer because they are quite local to me. (Not the seller)The manufacturer even called me back again the next day. The head of customer care provided lots of tips ready for the second unit to arrive. My advise follow the instructions. Especially the Vaseline around the O-Ring.As stated #2 PERFECT!I believe the manufacturer is honest and helpful. They were shocked that the pump would not prime. I believe they said the pumpinside is a top quality German unit.Historically I purchased a garden pump-up chemical spray. I removed the spray nozzle and used it exclusively for salt water flushing of my sinuses. That worked for years, but did not have the pulsating feature.Eventually I shelled out the cash and bought the SinuPlus Elite.I am glad I did. It's smaller and performs better.Money well spent!I have recommended it to family and friends, and will continue to do so.

Helps to Prevent Sinus Infections
How often you use this will depend on your situation. I used to use a similar one whenever I started feeling like a sinus infection was close. Now I use it once a day every day. It really does help to prevent getting worse

Great, helps breathing and improves sleep
Great, helps breathing and improves sleep. Do it right before bed, and ideally first thing in the morning as well. A tip from another review was that you can put very mild pressure on the nostril that the water is leaving and it helps spray the water to even higher nasal passages, be sure to use very mild/subtle and brief pressure. I use distilled water by gallon -- when I get around to it, I'll start just adding salt and sodium bicarbonate in the right proportion directly to the gallon and that way I don't have to mix it each time I use it. Mostly for nasal. I haven't cut the hang of the throat spray without choking, but I'll eventually figure out or just get used to it, my hope is to cut down on postnasal drip.

Excellent deal compared to other nasal rinses
This nasal irrigator is smaller and cheaper than other electrical irrigator with a pouch for travellers and additional sinuair pocket to save us money for the first time. All this for CAD$40 more than the irrigator alone because the pouch alone can be up to $100. Prompt delivery because it is from Amazon Canada warehouse.
