I recently purchased the Cosco Outdoor Living BoxGuard®, Large Lockable Package Delivery and Storage Box in Tan from Amazon, and overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. This storage box offers a reliable and secure solution for package deliveries and general storage needs. With its spacious 6.3 cubic feet capacity, the BoxGuard® provides ample room for accommodating various package sizes, ensuring protection against the elements and potential theft. The lockable feature of the BoxGuard® adds an extra layer of security, giving me peace of mind knowing that my packages are safe until I retrieve them. The lock mechanism is sturdy and easy to use, providing quick access for authorized individuals while deterring unauthorized access. The tan color of the BoxGuard® blends well with my outdoor surroundings, enhancing the aesthetics of my porch or patio. The box's durable construction is apparent, using high-quality materials that can withstand different weather conditions. Assembly was straightforward, thanks to clear instructions and all the necessary hardware provided. It took me a short amount of time to set up the BoxGuard® and start utilizing it immediately. Since I began using the BoxGuard®, I have noticed a significant decrease in package theft and damage caused by exposure to rain or sunlight. It has become an essential addition to my home, ensuring the safekeeping of my valuable deliveries. The size of the BoxGuard® is well-designed for accommodating larger packages, eliminating the need for awkward arrangements or leaving packages unattended on my porch. While I am highly satisfied with the BoxGuard®'s functionality and reliability, I am deducting one star due to its relatively higher price compared to similar storage boxes available in the market. Overall, the Cosco Outdoor Living BoxGuard® has proven to be a reliable and secure storage solution. Its dependable performance, enhanced security features, and appealing design make it a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking to protect their deliveries and maintain an organized porch. One high yield note, if you caulk the bottom and sides, it'll help to waterproof the box

I purchased a smaller metallic version from Vevor where you can’t reach in once you place the package, but none of the deliverers were using it I think because of how big the packages were. I purchased this knowing that someone could technically still open the box and steal packages, but given the depth and the fact there’s a lid, the extra steps will be a much greater deterrent for thieves. This is a great size for most of the packages that I receive! It was relatively easy to follow directions to put together, but it took me probably a good hour since I was taking my time with it. I would say the alignment of the knobs on the sides of the panels and then snapping them in took the longest. I had to take them apart several times because I missed a knob here and there. Once you get the bottom panel on, it’s incredibly sturdy and holds its shape well. I purchased a delivery sign and reflective number stickers to help the delivery drivers identify the correct house. I added a couple of light dumbbells at the bottom to prevent the wind from knocking it over. Overall I think it’s a great product at a great price for what I need! It’s not indestructible, but I do foresee much less attempts at package theft.

This box is easy to assemble if you can get their pre-drilled holes and pegs to line up, which proved problematic on one panel, but was super easy on the others. We live rurally so our box sits down on the highway. A previous box was damaged when a gust of wind popped the lid up and ripped it off. This has hinges that should help against that, but the hinge slide is plastic, so I'm wary of the longevity. A couple things to note--this is not water proof. There is a decent gap all the way around between the frame and the bottom. If you anticipate that this will sit in snow or more than a shallow puddle of rain, either set the box up on something or put something inside the box for packages to sit off the ground. Secondly, there are no pre-drilled holes to provide for securing this to the ground. Thirdly, the hinges are exposed and just held together by a slide-in pin, so if a thief has a few moments, they could easily pop them off and get in the box. We got this on sale. The hinges and size made it a good value for our use, but I would have been disappointed were the price point higher for the number of oversights in the manufacturing of this product.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this parcel box was to assemble—honestly, it was almost fun. My wife and I put it together in a short amount of time, and the instructions were straightforward enough that we never had to guess what came next. The finished unit feels sturdier than its lightweight frame would suggest. A tip from other reviewers turned out to be spot on: add weight to the bottom. Once we did that, the whole box felt even more stable, especially outdoors. We bought this to protect our deliveries, mostly from our young dog who thinks new packages are chew toys, and also to keep items dry and out of sight. It fits that purpose perfectly. The capacity is better than expected, and the lid opens smoothly without feeling flimsy. We’ll be adding some signage soon to make it even more obvious for delivery drivers. For the price, this is a practical and well-made solution for securing packages. I’d absolutely recommend it if you’re looking for a simple way to keep deliveries safe and dry.

The assembly was not quite as easy as it should have been, but by no means was it a terrible experience. This unit is much like Little Tikes toys in its construction. Durable plastic. This is deeper than I expected despite knowing the depth at purchase. It works well to hold parcels that are a bit larger. It is a great option as opposed to parcels just sitting in the open on the porch or elsewhere. We set it right in between our two double garage doors. We bought a sticker-sign on Amazon that has the logos of the USPS, UPS, DHL, FedEx, and such to make its use identifiable for the delivery persons. We have not had any water infiltration, nor the wind blowing open the lid (due to its latch). We did put a 12" x 12" x 2" concrete walkway pad inside on the bottom to keep it from blowing away if we have a bad storm, as we believe a strong wind might move it otherwise. We've had a couple storms and it hasn't moved. This product works great for our use, and would recommend it.

Pros: - Very easy to assemble by one person. - Good looking - doesn't look like a commercial drop box. Comes in two color combinations helping to blend into individual decors. - Simple to open which will make delivery companies and USPS more likely to actually use it as opposed to the more complicated albeit secure drop boxes in which packages often do not fit. - Light weight makes it easy to move inside garage when not expecting deliveries. Cons: - Very light weight. You will need to add weight to keep from being blown about by the wind. - Hardware is affixed by machine screws directly into soft plastic and cannot really be tightened down. Hardware is not stainless nor galvanized and will corrode if using near salt water environments. - The hinge pins are a completely worthless design that are not properly held in place and will fall out almost immediately. See the video of another reviewer who shows how to remedy this situation; however, it is ridiculous that you should have to spend more money to retrofit a bad design. - The bottom panel is just thin plastic which will definitely not hold up, especially when you have to add weight to keep the box in place. At minimum the bottom panel should be of the same construction as the side panels, and better yet should be double walled and allow the addition of sand or gravel to add ballast.

We purchased this item to replace a previous delivery bin that had a completely removeable lid. We live on top of an exposed hill that gets a lot of wind. We were constantly chasing the lid of our old bin around the neighborhood, so we were drawn to this item with its attached/hinged lid. It comes unassembled, so there is some work involved in getting it ready for use. If you've built any pre-fab furniture before, you'll be fine. The box is big and water tight, so thus far has easily stored delivery boxes of all sizes from the elements. Its not super heavy, so we did need to weigh ours down with a few bricks (but, again, windy hill). The lid has really nice hinges and opens wide. The one comment I have is that you really have to make sure to push the lid down when closing or it doesn't close completely. Nothing overly difficult, but the first few days with the new bin we had a few delivery drivers not close it completely. The lid latch allows for a lock, if necessary. Would definitely recommend this item to anyone looking for a safe, sturdy way to keep those Amazon packages out of the elements!

Love this package box - with ONE caveat: the hinge pins between the box and lid **quickly** begin to **fall out** after **just a few** openings and closings - this leaves you with constantly shoving the pins back in - else they be lost in the nearby dirt or grass. However, I came up with a FIX for this - LOCKING PINS. I found these on Amazon: "2 Pcs Tiny Safety Coupler Pin 3/16" x 1.97"(4.8mm x 50mm), Full Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel Shaft Locking Pin" for about $10. Home Depot didn’t have anything that was small enough or long enough – smallest diameter they had was ¼”. These 3/16" diameter x 2" long locking pins work **perfectly** - you just have to push the little plastic tabs out of the way when you put them on. They fit so well they look like they were made for the box lid. Would recommend as an improvement to the manufacturer. See my photos for a visual reference of the locking pins installed. Other than that, this is the perfect package box - assembly is easy, it looks nice, and is a good size for most deliveries. It keeps package deliveries out-of-sight/out-of-mind and is one extra step for would-be thieves. The sloped, roof-like lid keeps packages dry and out of the rain - this is good for my wife & I since our deliveries frequently happen outside of a locked gate with no cover from the rain. A wood box would be more aesthetically pleasing, but this box is zero maintenance (no rot, no repainting) and has held up well in partial sun for 10 months so far with no sign of fading.

Super easy to build, once built its sturdy, we put a couple of screws through it into the wall so its not going anywhere and its rock solid. Everything's stays dry inside, does a great job of keeping water out. Only thing i didn't like was the panel that says deliveries is down at floor height and the letters are same colour as box so don't stand out, we screwed to top of box and coloured them black so very obvious for delivery drivers to see ... recommended, its good value

Such a handy box, was a bit fiddly but it's really good and great size
