Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide

Very resourceful. Has many footnotes and resources to help in numerous ways. Covers many areas. Is not inclined towards a particular treatment method. One can refer the guide and go online to dive deeper. I refer this guide time and again and has helped me a lot (and will save you money!). Glad that I added this to my library.

This is the first book that labels itself a definitive guide, that actually IS! Alternative Medicine pretty much covers it all. It's very well organized, explains the method well and provides references to the most reputable sources from each field of practice. I also like that book is even-handed in that it doesn't give significantly more attention to some methods while briefly grazing others. The descriptions are non judgmental and dignified and is not ideological or political, making no claims on long-term efficacy of a particular method.

Pristine, wrapped in plastic and brand-new !!!. I'd purchased this 5.5lb book many years ago and made the mistake of donating it. What was I thinking 😳? I now have my 1995 version once again.. so very glad ..

I WOULD SAY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD THICK BOOK ON THIS SUBJECT YOU NEED TO GET THIS ONE. VERY INFORMATIONAL. OVER 1000 PAGES. IT'S IN MY TOP 10 BOOKS ON NATURAL MEDICINE. THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK I GRAB WHEN LOOKING UP A CONDITION. I EVENTUALLY ORDERED 1 FOR MY MOM AND A FRIEND.

The book came early a plus. it's kinda huge but has EVERY ailment covered. I have joint pain, pineapple and black cherry juice ! Who knew? And it's working. Best part is it's signed I don't know by who but makes it seem that much more authentic. Will be referencing this for a long time. Who knows when there's no more internet? No worries here, I'm set.

Can't believe they're selling this book for the shipping cost. It's fun to look up different treatments and systems out there not to mention the surprises when you found the coverage. You can't go wrong using this big, thick manual as a starting point and a reference. It makes you feel like you know everything there is to know, LOL.

I’m a pharmacist myself, throughout my whole life i didn’t believe in commercial medical schools and pharmacy schools , unfortunately the tide is so high and you can’t simply say that all pharmaceutical companies are playing the same monopoly game public won’t believe you as they don’t have the enough scientific background to compare what they’re receiving on daily basis as a medicine to truly real medicine , you can’t open a single modern medicine leaflet without having a stream of side effects that includes sudden death sometimes and we used to think that’s normal , if you dig deeper in history you will find that a medicine shouldn’t cause death , kidney or liver failure . So if you’re looking for alternative way to treat yourself without being a victim of pharmaceutical companies and medicine school graduates who call themselves doctors this is the path you should follow .

I received an old dented second hand dusty smelling damaged book and it was an old obsolete version. Clearly second hand, not new at all, it smells, has discolored pages. Not Happy. Not as described in the listing.

Im still reading it..there is LOTS of info in there..well worth the price and buying!

Bought used hard cover because my old one is soft cover and pages are ripping out due to extensive use. The hard cover I ordered arrive immediately and in excellent condition. This book has been my go to since it was published many years ago.
