Fantasy Wars - PC

This is a good game, lots of mouse input and thought required. Nice graphics and animation.The controls could have been made a little easier. as I find it difficult to select an individual unit to perform a function. I think I have a unit selected and then find that it is a different unit that does the action.I would recommend that new users play the single scenario a few times to get a feel for the controls. The single scenarios are much more difficult than the campaigns.All in all I would recommend this game to anyone who wants more than a Hack and Slash game.

Due to disk copy protection (not described as part of the product),the game would not play on Windows 7, which blocks it due to "stability issues".It uses "Tages" which previously I could not use with Vista.It does not work on my XP older computer due to "lack of shaders".I had fun with Elven Legacy (my DVD had no DRM) so I ordered this previous version.All I can use is the manual, two thirds English and one third French(which I understand).Regarding Tages, it seems to be a European thing and CDs/DVDs shipped byEuropean companies (including UK) had it before but at least they run on XP.

Dated isometric view interface, graphics also previous generation but the gameplay was really quite fun, the plot and storyline was also "warcraft like", I liked the game to spend a few hours playing, but not really a must have game.

Great game if you really like war games with a fantasy setting. It is very similar to play WHFB, but over a PC... Not bad and you come to enjoy it. A bit dated now, but still quite fun.

If you are like me, and loved playing the old 5-star series of Panzer General Games and related - this is the game for you. This is a game very comparable to Fantasy General. I only hope these guys redo the WWII stuff next.

This game won't play after being loaded. I have been waiting several days with NO response from the manufacturer. Don't waste your money. You'll just be out $20.00, develop and ulcer and give up on mankind. If there were way to give it zero stars, or more appropriately stars in the negative range, I'd have given it that.

If you like turn-based strategy war games, this is a fun one. You get to play both humans and orcs (and later unlock the elves/dwarves) each group having unique units.Don't get me wrong, this is a simple game to play. Its simplicity makes it fun; particularly, if you want to get away from some real-time, first person action for a bit.

I have not opened this game, because I bought it thinking it was a roleplaying game but found out after buying it it is not so I will sell it, trade it or give it away.So in all fairness I can not really rate it at all.

Not the best game I ever played, but I gave it full stars for the delivery time as well as it is hard to find any decent turn based games. This one was a challenge at times. Well worth it!!
