The BEST Dry Shampoo!
I have to say that Batiste is the BEST Dry Shampoo in my Opinion. I will not say that I have tried dozens, because I haven't, I have tried 3 different brands, and I fell in love with Batiste, no need to keep hunting! Let me start by saying that I have very fine, greasy/oily hair. I always heard people talk about not washing their hair everyday, and I thought they were gross haha! I just always assumed everyone had greasy hair. I started doing some research, because come on, the idea of not washing my hair meant not taking as long to get ready for work in the morning! I first tried Herbal Essensses Envy Dry Shampoo, and it was not a very good experience for me. I have dark brown hair, and that particular Dry Shampoo made my hair look like I get attacked by a bag of flour! Not to mention it felt so dry and stiff at the roots I could not even run my hands through my hair, I ended up putting it in a pony tail for the 2 days I used it. I guess this would be a good Dry Shampoo if you want to texture your hair because whatever way you do it, it stays that way all day! I didn't give up though, what works for some may not work for others has always been my philosophy, so next, after some research, I tried Rockaholic by Tigi. This is actually a dry shampoo that I still use and I actually do like it. I would recommend this one! It gets my hair feeling not oily, smelling good and not stiff. The only downside, and I think it may be a bottling issue, is that I've had some bottles that leave my hair a little grayish which makes it look dull. I'm not sure like I said if its the bottle or the product mix, because there are some that leave my hair looking exactly as brown as I have it. Enter Batiste, I ordered it out of curiosity because I saw a review online that said it was the best! I agree!!! Batiste has all the benefits that I find in the Rockaholic, except it has one extra plus I don't get from Rockaholic. It makes my hair feel sooooo soft and smooth, it feels like I just washed it. It smells very good too! I ordered the dark colored one and no white spots or grayish looking hair! This is a keeper for me! I think the problem with some people is that they do not know how to properly use dry shampoo. I was one of those, here is what I do. On days I don't wash, I spray my hair with the Dry Shampoo - On the Roots, with the bottle about a 1 ft to 1.5 ft from my head. Make sure to grab your hair and almost pull up, so that you expose the root areas. I then clip my hair up and get in the shower - I never brush my hair immediately after I spray it on. When I get out of the shower, I take my hair clip out and I massage my roots, to spread the dry shampoo then I brush my hair out and style it as wanted. That's it! So moral of this long review - If you want soft, shiny, like just washed feeling hair - Batiste is the best!!!

I. LOVE. This stuff. And I've tried them all.
My hairdresser has been yelling at me for years for washing my hair daily. He told me about dry shampoo, and that I should use it, but I just couldn't get the hang of it/get over the "feeling of clean" that I got from washing my hair every day. About three years ago, I chopped off all my (dead, dry, brittle) hair and started growing it again from my chin, and slowly started whittling down the number of times a week I washed my hair. My hair is now past my bra strap in the back, shiny, strong, and I wash my hair once every 5 - 7 days, and the ONLY reason is because of this stuff. I have fine, thick hair (meaning a lot of it, but the individual strands are fine) so the "bodyfying" effect in this stuff is great. I have very dark brown (but not black) hair. First I used Tresemme, Salon Grafix, BedHead, Big & Sexy, Suave (though I do LOVE their dry conditioner), the old school L'oreal stuff, the "Not Your Mother's" dry shampoo, cornstarch, baking soda, cocoa powder... but I keep coming back to this stuff. Here's why: 1. The TINTED powder. For someone with dark hair, my beef with dry shampoo has always been the greyish whitish nasty dull residue that builds up in my roots that while my hair doesn't look greasy, does look like I rubbed ashes in my hair. This stuff, with the dark tint, absorbs the oil and keeps my hair the dark color it should be. 2. It "poofs" things up. Like another reviewer, I'll sometimes use this in my clean hair, just a squirt at each temple, to add some extra oomph. But when I'm using it on days 2, 3, 5, whatever... it keeps my hair lifted (does that make sense?) and feeling fresh. Before, other dry shampoos would keep it from looking greasy, but I'd still lose the body after day 2, so I'd end up wearing my hair up after the second day. This stuff, I can get 4 or 5 days of down styles. 3. The feeling. The cold "psssht" when you spray it on your scalp has a nice cool rush that helps your scalp feel clean, even if it isn't. I don't mind the smell, though some reviewers seem to. Tips: I wear a shower cap, and then when I'm out of the shower, I use a round brush and my blowdryer to quickly (we're talking 30 seconds) dry my roots where the water seeped under the cap when I washed my face. Then I use quick little blasts on my whole hairline around my face. This is enough for the next day after washing, but on days 2 or 3, I'll separate my hair into sections about 2" wide and spray there, focusing mainly on my natural part. Then I pull my hair back out of my face and WAIT. Don't brush it right away! I usually do my makeup, or get dressed, or make a cup of coffee, whatever, but let it sit for a minute. When I'm ready, I BRUSH it through my hair, not rub with my fingers. WARNING: This stuff DOES leave a dark powdery residue on fingers if you rub it in. It washes right off, it's never stained any of my clothing, but it is gross if you get it under your nails and then don't notice until later. I use a paddle brush to distribute it, "scrubbing" lightly, but not so hard to tangle my hair. I think this helps with the lift. Then I round brush style my hair and boom - clean, shiny, voluminous hair. Sometimes when I roundbrush my hair near the scalp, there will be little dark dusties from this stuff, but I just brush them off with a makeup brush. I actually love my hair on the second day more than the day I wash my hair now; it styles better and holds the style better. If you have long hair, I'd recommend a dry conditioner after the first couple of days, if you use a lot of heat styling like I do. Helps keep your ends hydrated. Bottom line, I love this stuff. I have long hair, and one can usually lasts me about a month. Not as cost effective as just washing your hair more, but for the time it saves me every day (washing my hair adds 45 minutes with washing, conditioning and blowdrying and styling to my morning routine), it's totally worth it. I even keep a can in my gym bag for post workout lifts, if I need them.

Perfect thickener/filler for my top front .....
I am in my mid 30's...with medium/dark brown, long, and fine hair.....but lately my front section seems to be a a bit more thinner. And so my pale Irish/German heritage pale scalp shows more now. I literally had to wash it every day for volume. Then I used my sunglasses up there to hide the thinner part a bit more.(kinda just like Sammie does from the Jersey Shore tv show. Well, she does that when she doesn't have her fake hair piece in that is, lol) I too thought about buying a hair piece but I wanted something to work constantly. I had received a free sample of dry shampoo and I liked how it helped on my off wash days and it really did thicken that front area up. But it didn't do what I wanted like tinting my fine hair to help hide my white scalp better. Thank goodness I came across this! I had no clue that there were tinted versions out there. I read up on quality and this one had some of the best ratings for the price. I can now honestly say that this stuff ROCKS! Yes, the lower rated reviews are correct, as this is tinted folks and it will put some color onto your walls or forehead(especially if your not careful and spray it too close;) I was actually scared at first use because the deep brown actually gives a ashy/greyish brown cast "at first"..... but then all I had to do was rub my hands and brush through and it ended up blending in so perfectly. Also, as most dry shampoos, this is a bit dulling and I highly recommend using a quick light spray of a glossy finishing spray. I think that once I finish this bottle(which will be forever as I only need to use like 2-3 quick bursts)I might buy the Medium Brown shade and see if it might have a bit more of a golden dark brown to it. I am just so relieved that this makes my hair look like it used to! Oh, and it does bot really build up too bad if used for a few days! I also LOVE that this stuff does not really cover the scalp(like a lot of bald fillers I have read do) to hide the thinness. It just gives my strands fullness with a slight tint and it looks amazing and sexy again! lol! I just really do wish that I would have heard/found out about this stuff a few years ago!

Good Product!
This stuff works great and smells really good.... but once your use it DO NOTTTTTT scratch your scalp. You will have blackish brown gunk under your nails and if you're anything like me it will take you way longer than you would like to admit to realize that it is coming from your dry shampoo.

Favorite dry shampoo
Works really well on dark brown hair. I have always had issues with regular dry shampoo as it leaves a white cast. This dry-shampoo does not leave any white cast and is perfect for my hair. It also makes my hair not greasy looking even on day 4 of not washing my thin hair.

It's a good product
It's good! Still left a little build up in my hair but it gets the job done. I also didn't notice much color being deposited but maybe it's just me.

The best
Hands down, the best dry shampoo I've ever used. The aerosol doesn't come out in chunks like some others. It's a fine mist that goes where you want it to. Others, no matter how closely you follow the directions, come out spitting and sputtering, ending up on your face, hands, and clothes.

YUCK
Like other reviewers, I'm a greying brunette and have hair that gets oily pretty quickly. I've tried other dry shampoos, and they either didn't work, or they made the grey worse. So I was eager to try a version with color, having read that it's so much better, esp. this brand. I must say that the product worked--color was great and volume was great; hence the 2 stars. And no complaints about the seller--product arrived promptly and in good shape (though it was encased in a ridiculous amount of clear plastic wrap that took me 10 minutes to remove; I understand the sender probably wanted to insure that the lid wouldn't come off in transit, but this went way beyond what was needed to prevent that. Yet that is not really an issue.) So I feel bad for complaining--but what a MESS! First off, I had carefully read all of the reviews before ordering and was pleased with how most people loved this product . . . so pleased that I apparently forgot to read the ingredients: butane and propane?? really?? I'm spraying my head with LIGHTER FLUID!? That alone put me off using it; I had expected something alcohol based or similar for drying up natural oils in the hair, but this sounded downright scary. I went back and read the description online--sure enough the ingredients were there, I have no idea how I missed them the first time. I looked up other similar products--apparently they're all made that way. So I decided to take the plunge and try it, figuring hundreds of women giving good reviews must not have had their heads catch fire, so I should be safe. And having read their reviews, I felt like I was doing things correctly: Wearing just my bra & undies, I stepped into my tub so that the spray didn't get on things that would be hard to wipe down. I sprayed about 4 quick sprays, holding the can at height stated, etc. I didn't want to overdo it; I just hit a few key areas very briefly--I figured I could always add more if needed. The scent was ok--a little sweetly cloying, but Ok. There wasn't a mess in the tub, I was pleased to see, so after a moment I stepped out and brushed my hair. WOW! The volume and color were awesome, I was able to style the hair with a few brush strokes--I thought I looked terrific. But then I looked down and found that my bra and bosom were covered with tiny blackish flakes. Ok, I thought, that's to be expected. So I took a baby wipe and started to clean myself up. I kid you not--I used at least a dozen wipes (getting my face, neck, bosom, shoulders, back of the neck, etc.) and each time the cloth came away COMPLETELY BLACK. My husband even came in and tried to help me wipe down my upper back, because I was supposed to attend a meeting and needed to dress, and I was worried about getting this stuff on my clothes. Worse, when I would touch my hair to move it out of the way, or to scratch a little itch, etc., my hand would come away with a black powdery stuff all over it. There was no way I could do this all day at my office, and now I had spent more time and energy dealing with it than if I had just washed my hair in the first place. So I gave up in disgust, got in the shower and literally had to wash my hair 3 times before I felt like it was all out. I was so disappointed because I had liked how it looked; it's just such a shame that the mess made it not worth it.
