Rats & Mice LOVE this stuff (with some slight modifications)
So, we just moved a few months ago, and to our dismay discovered mice in the heating vent system, as well as underneath of the master bathroom shower, and kitchen sink, and if that wasn't bad enough, we also discovered that there is an old abandon house on the hill above us where a huge rat colony has lived for years without any type of population control or anything at all, and we have a few cats, and our neighbor also does, too, and our dogs will kill the rats/mice as well, if they see them, so we obviously, did not want to get a normal poison type of bait that could kill the cats or dogs, and the one dog is very old, deaf, and blind, so we didnt want to use snap traps for fear of her stepping in one since she cant see anything, so this seemed to be a safe alternative for ours and our neighbors animals, as well. This is only day 2 that we've used this product, but I tell you what, they seem to LOVE this stuff! We put out 20 (yes 20) baggies of this stuff (pre-measured), mixed in baggies with, a small pinch of dry cat food, and a small pinch of mixed hamster seed, with a small little spoonful of bacon grease, and made sure to mix it all together very well, and seriously ALL 20 baggies were completely GONE by the very next day (today), so they definitely liked our little mixture! I know it can take up to a week to actually dehydrate them to the point of death, but I will update my review around that time and say if the numbers have significantly decreased or even decreased at all, by then. We put out the rest of this bag today (day 2), and it made an additional 37 baggies of death for the giant rats and their little mice buddies, so hopefully this really works and kills them all!! 😈 You may even be able to make a few more bags than we did, because after seeing how crazy they went for the 1st 20 we set out, we decided to put 3 oz's in the 37 that we put out today, just to make sure they get enough to actually die from it, because the rats that we have seen in the dumpster are seriously HUGE, like small dog sized, huge, so we figured a little extra wouldn't hurt, and might even help, lol 😈. Also, yesterday we used regular little baggies and used paper clips to hold them shut, so those are the ones that were all gone today, but the ones we made today we just used snack sized baggies and left a small corner unzipped to make sure they could smell it and would still go after it, like they did yesterday, so in my update I will also include which method seems to work better, or if they're about the same. One other thing that is worth mentioning, as well, is the company that makes this product (Eco Clear) advised us to NOT use peanut butter, as it is to sticky and the pellets tend to get stuck in the peanut butter so they can't bind to the rodents gut rendering it completely ineffective and totally useless, so be sure to use some bacon grease, seeds, cat or dog food, or do what we did and use a small amount of all of it to make its really irresistible to the rodents you're trying to kill.

They are dragging it off through their holes with my special recipe on it.
I am thrilled at the prospect of being able to put something out that is safe for wildlife and my pets. I read the reviews and how the product requires that there be no other food available to the rats before they will eat it. I also read where people had success adding other ingredients to attract the rats. I have horses so there is rat food everywhere for Rat X to compete with. They had gotten into my backpacking food (chewed through plastic containers to get to it.) Once I removed the backpacking food, they were down to scrounging around for spilled horse feed, etc. I added some peanut butter and berries to the bait. First couple of days, nothing. Then, it all disappeared. I'm guessing they were starting to run out of food. Enthused, I then enhanced my methodology. My technique: I took a sandwich bag, added Rat X, a little peanut butter, a little chocolate syrup, a couple of blue berries and a small amount of bacon fat. (not so much that they can eat around the bait) I then squished the ingredients within the bag to heavily coat the bait. I then took a knife and poked a hole in the bag. The bags are great for tossing into hard-to-get areas and keeping your hands and utensils clean and free from the bait. They opened the bags and were clearly eating the bait. The next night I put out more bags, and they were dragging them into their holes. I also have traps around, and initially they were getting popped every night. I basically have a gauntlet that they have to get through to travel certain areas. I have caught 2 this way. I could also hear lots of activity in walls and ceiling. It's getting quiet and the traps are not getting popped. I will report back with final results.

Repels rats
Great in theory.... product only effects rodents by blocking their kidney function. I usually use anticoagulant based bait blocks with success but was worried about other animals getting poisioned or secondary poisonings. So I tried this product. I set up bait boxes with cameras in them. The rats smelled the bate and it literally repelled them, the same rats I saw eating my dogs waste in the backyard and bloated dead rats the traps caught, so if these pellets repulse them it says a lot . The second night I slathered them in peanut butter. The rats licked all the peanut butter off and left the pellets without so much as a nibble. I reached out to the company they recommended soaking the pellets in olive oil or bacon grease to add "a smell" attractant . So they already have been made aware by other customers that rats dont typically eat the product as they have a general answer locked and loaded. Keep in mind this is supposed to be a cutting edge high end best on the market product and the price reflects it. For the price I shouldnt have to do anything to the product. I Tried their advice the rats licked the pellets for a bit and again left them untouched. The much cheaper anticoagulant options attract them in mass and is eaten in a night. Even if it takes a couple meals they will die as where these will sit untouched, even the ants didn't touch them. They need to make a new formula that is appetizing for vermin or add an attractant. I've now read other reviews on here saying rats wont touch the pellets with a 10 ft pole. Utterly dissapointed and a waste of my money .

Good Product
This is the third time I have bought the product. We seem to get mice at certain times of the year, and because we have cats, we didn't want anything toxic to them. This does work, but you have to make sure to target high usage areas. I also have found it takes closer to 7-8 days for the mice to die. Some mice seem very attracted to it, and eat it quickly, and some mice won't touch it. It isn't a guaranteed elimination, but it will definately cut down on the infestation.

Works!
I grew up with pet rats, so having to get rid of the brown rats destroying my car engine and Bbq grill, was heartbreaking for me. I searched everywhere for a humane option, as I can’t handle those cute little guys suffering(most poisons/traps cause severe pain and long lasting suffering). Sadly, relocating them was too challenging for me. I was relieved to find this option, and it just takes a bit of time, like 10 days for me. To me this was the most humane option, and it worked. Tossed the bits in honey peanut butter and a little salt in a bag, and dispersed pieces on plate. Another plus, all my bird friends are unaffected if they consume it. Highly recommend, when absolutely necessary.

Please read my other review
I will not buy this rat poison again it does not perform the way that it is advertised I probably should have asked for a refund if Amazon would have given me one I even followed their instructions about adding an attracted so I got a jar of peanut butter out and white peanut butter all over the discs that I had tied to a piece of wire to keep them from being carried off and being feared to my animals or somebody else's the pellets I did the same thing with them I made up of peanut butter mixture and mix the pellets with the peanut butter they they ate them but I cannot tell whether it killed any of the mice I did not see a decline in their population. I will not buy these again and I cannot recommend them to someone else. You can buy 20 Victor mice traps for about $20 I've been using Victor mice traps for over 50 years they never fail even with the big rat traps I didn't have a rat problem I had a mouse problem the victor which you have to bait them and I use light bread smeared with peanut butter pinch off a piece bait the Trap leave the Trap sitting for three or four days so the bread can dry and the peanut butter and all band together it makes the bait last longer you don't have to bait it as many times just reset the Trap after you remove the mouse cats really love them. LOL thank you Amazon maybe you can send some coupons out. Or possibly a refund $50 costly experience for this product.

Easy and effective.
We had a next level rat infestation in our garage. When they were in the backyard, we could see them, running all over the roof and around it. Every color of rat. Brown, black, grey. It was wild. Poop everywhere inside the garage. We sealed up every hole we could find and put this stuff out. Now we find dead rats all the time and the smell is almost gone. It's been a year and I haven't seen a rat.

Safe, effective snd humane.
I’ve used it before in my rat shed. It quiets things down but if you see one then 7-20 are adjacent. A white rat was trying to share squirrel peanuts. I put the x in a homemade container on the fence but of course it rained and the granules turn to powder but the product works and only affects rats and no other critter I believe.

Doesn’t work
I have tried this product neat, and covered in olive oil. Sesame oil and peanut butter. The rats totally ignore it
