Helpful
The book is lovely and helpful in learning and practicing the Russian alphabet. The only thing I would personally change is size, I would prefer it in A5 format, both for keeping and writing in it.

Clear, precise instructions
It says children but to be honest if your just starting out it’s invaluable. The book details everything from every stroke you take to form the letters to different cursive and none cursive styles and pronunciation examples. Child, adult what ever your age if your new to the Russian language buy this book to learn the Russian alphabet.

Excellent book!
Teaches both print and cursive, plenty of room for practice and tells you how each letter is pronounced, A good book for both young and old learners.

Great for even older learners...
Evidently a twist on a kids book, but this is perfect for mastering the Cyrillic writing (and getting yourself out of the habit of using normal 'N's' all the time! Plenty of space to repeat, also.

Great book for anyone mad enough to want to read and write Russian
There are a number of similar books at Amazon which give valuable instruction on reading and writing the printed Russian alphabet that appears in books and publications. However this book gives excellent instruction on not just the printed alphabet, but also on "cursive" or joined up handwriting, which like the Latin alphabet, is rather different6 to printing and is something of an art. It is said that no-one does handwriting any more, and that even Russian school kids use just keyboards and texting on phones. I don't think that is completely true. Surely anyone studying the language in depth will need to be able to write the language, writing down phrases, sentences and even essays. Printing the characters is a bit naff and surely appears rather uneducated. ? Despite the availability of digital media, we still need to be a ble to write?

Fantastic practice!
I love this book! As a teacher, I am a sucker for workbooks. I love doing them myself. This book is set up in a similar fashion to handwriting books I used as a student, with my own homeschooled child, and students in my classroom. I practice my Russian handwriting. It also helps to learn the sounds the letters make. I love that the stroke order is shown so that I am writing them correctly. That's sometimes an issue for me since I'm left handed. :) I do recommend this book for children or adults who are interested in learning or strengthening Russian.

Exactly as advertised
I like how there’s the block letters and cursive (plus variations of the two). Also, it’s actually pretty relaxing to write/trace down the letters.
