As a chef this is the best vegetable peeler I have ever used. The blade is carbon steel, this is the sharpest steel and will become discolored and may seem rusty, Simply wipe and dry when finished and will last years, So ignore the negative reviews.

Great for the price
Very handy, work well. A bit flimsy and rusts quickly if you have hard (full of minerals) water. Most people don't, and these will be perfect for them!

Not happy with this purchase
Awful. Yes they’re nice and sharp but you use it once, wash it and it’s rusty. I will not use something that goes rusty like that. I have NEVER had a peeler ever rust on me. I thought I was getting another Swiss made peeler and it’s a cheap imitation. I do not recommend.

When I say I’ve bought over 30 of these, I’m not lying. If you work in a kitchen you know things like these grow legs. They are a simple design so easy to clean. Sharp and lightweight. They do cut a little deep but that’s just fine by me. They work so well all my cooks keep stealing them.
