Love Moni Mohsin
Love Moni Mohsin, but love Butterfly even more! I really, really wish she would come out with another book in this series.

No page turner and no real direction but its a haha funny light read
Absolutely hilarious in places but the pace starts waning a bit towards the middle. No page turner and no real direction but its a haha funny light read.

The world of 'Behenji's' explained!
After Mira Nair's movie 'Monsoon Wedding' this is as good as it gets to know a Punjabi. You get to understand your neighbours in Delhi a lot better, though the book is set in Lahore.

funny but one sided
Slap stick comedy writing. "Several times I tau fell off my chair only. "But characters were unidimensional which can get tiring for a book, but may have been just perfect for the newspaper column that this started out as."Tender Hooks" is supposed to be the author's best work yet. I may try that next.

Though it reads like a frivolous book
Though it reads like a frivolous book, if you look deep you'll see its a record of sorts of how people react to the political situation in Pakistan and the events taking place. And of course Butterfly is hilarious !

I would classify is as a waste of time and effort
Totally inane rubbish! Entertaining in bits, but largely ridiculous in the sheer stupidity of the main protagonist. I would classify is as a waste of time and effort.

Hilarious!
I don't know how much non-Urdu/Hindustani speakers will understand of this novel but it had me crying tears of laughter. The ending is surprisingly poignant.
