SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch Active 2 (40mm, GPS, Bluetooth) Smart Watch with Advanced Health Monitoring, Fitness Tracking, and Long lasting Battery, Silver (US Version)

I absolutely love this watch. I was hesitant to buy it because I was looking for a watch to accurately track my steps and workout routines. I have had no issues with it tracking my steps accurately as I have a tracker on my phone to see if they would match and they did within a few steps of each other. I walk and run outside and on the treadmill and it is important to know how I am doing. I am SUPER happy with this part of the watch. I love the detail it provides me on my workouts, sleep and heart rate. It works wonderfully with my S8+ and had little trouble connecting it. I waited to write my review because there were some reviews that mentioned they were unhappy with it fitness tracking and I have found it to be very accurate. The only thing I don't like is the battery life is not great. If I wear it at night to track sleep it is dead in the morning, so I don't. Also I begin using it at about 6am in the morning, get my kids out the door for school and exercise for 30 minutes before getting myself ready for work. So in two hours the battery goes from 100 to 92 and if I do a strength workout that particular day it goes to 87 so I have to put it on the charger while I am showering, etc. so that it gets back to 100%. By the end of the day (9:30 - 10pm) the battery is in the range of 15 to 42%. No way I could wear it for sleep tracking. If anyone knows of some setting that I may need to turn off/on to make it last longer I'd appreciate some feedback. Other than that I am in love with the watch. A definite buy!

I got this to monitor my heart rate throughout the day after the doctor said I have chronic tachycardia. It's also super useful for a bunch of other things and was easy to pair with my phone. My one big complaint is that the product guide and instructions are awful. They don't walk you through anything, which can be distressing and confusing if this is your first ever smart watch. However, the product itself is really great once you figure it out, so I'm not taking away any stars. I got the cloud gray watch, which I expected to be more of a pale blue based on Amazon photos, but it really is just like a cool gray in person. I have a very small wrist and it fits me well at the 2nd tightest loop. The watch works very well for me and pairs effortlessly with my Galaxy Note 10. I currently use the pixel heart wallpaper so I can monitor the time and my heart rate constantly. My only wish is that wallpapers were more customizable, because I really want a simple wallpaper that displays the date, time, and my heart rate so I don't have to flip between widgets. I'm not a big fan of how the watch likes to remind me to move every hour... When I have online class, I don't have the option to move often, and I don't know how to turn those startling notifications off. Lastly, I don't know if I would recommend Amazon's delivery service for an expensive product like this watch. The driver didn't follow my delivery instructions!! My packages often get stolen if left out in the mail room (which does not lock and has a glass door and no security cameras, so anyone from the street can take packages), so I always request drivers to put the box in the mailbox or in front of my apartment door (which is only around 10 steps away max). They left out out of the mailbox for anyone to be able to see and take, and didn't even take a photo to confirm it had been delivered. This product cost me nearly $300 and they did that, but when I order any other cheap package, they follow my instructions to a T and always take a photo to confirm delivery!! It's ridiculous. It's probably better to pick this up in person at a store if you are worried about package security. I'm just glad I was home to pick it up immediately after it was delivered.

I've had a lower-priced smartwatch and wanted one with more features, so I got the Galaxy Active2 for Christmas. There are more watch faces, the ability to have photos, the memory installed and the fitness functions are all I could hope for. The watch is waterproof if you turn on that function. My one complaint is the battery life, which I knew about when I got it. Working in lockdown, it's no problem to recharge in the middle of the day - or once I get back to the office I can have an extra charger at my desk - just annoying to have to recharge every two days. I turned off some of the apps to save the battery life, such as always on display and some of the faces. I particularly like the watch telling me my phone is ringing and the ability to answer if I'm within range - the watch can be on desk while I'm the kitchen and I can answer the call, or it can be in my purse. The ECG function is another plus, as is the sleep tracking, and counting steps. I recommend this smart watch.

So far I’m happy with it. I have a really small wrist so I was worried the watch would look bulky, but I think it looks great. (I got the 40mm). I have an iPhone so I can’t answer calls or text messages from the watch, but I had a fitbit before this watch that didn’t let me do that anyway, so I don’t really care about that feature. You’ll still get notifications that you’re getting a call or a text message and it’ll show you the message. I was just looking for a stylish, waterproof watch that would count my steps, and I don’t like the way the Apple Watch looks. I like a round, classic watch. The battery life is decent. I haven’t had the watch die on me yet but at a full charge I get probably a day and a half of battery. Of course, there are ways to save battery by turning WiFi and Bluetooth off, which is what I do. I just always charge my watch at night because I personally don’t really care about how well I slept (the watch has sleep tracking). I’ll know how well I slept when I wake up in the morning. I also really like how the watch faces are super customizable and there are so many free faces to choose from. The only complaint I have about the watch is that the bands that come with the watch are extremely hard to remove. I was chipping my nails trying to get it off. I have a leather band that I bought (not from Samsung but compatible w the watch) and it’s easy to take off when I want. However, the difficulty of removing the band could also be a good thing - as I stated earlier, I had a fitbit before this and the bands would break all the time so I could have lost my watch!

I didn't know if I wanted to rate this a 3 or a 4. One of the main reasons I purchased the watch was for activity tracking. I was VERY disappointed to find that it does not track calories based on your heart rate while you exercise. The calories burned for an exercise remain the same every time. I tested this as one day I did a heavy workout with accelerated heart rate. Then I tested it when I was sitting down doing nothing and the results were the same for calories burned. I also question the accuracy of the heart rate monitor. I have had Fitbits in the past and never reached a heart rate over 200. This watch has at times tracked my heart rate at 225 while doing strenuous exercise. I am athletic, in shape and exercise daily. I didn't feel winded when it tracked that heart rate so I question the accuracy. However, the resting rate seems to be correct and matches what my Fitbit tracked in the past. My employer has a wellness program where my watch data syncs with the wellness program. I haven't had any problems with the sync but wonder since the data is not 100% correct what will happen. I wanted a watch that synced with my phone, which this does well. I have been very happy with all the other features. I did have a problem with the first watch I purchased. After one month it was no longer holding a charge. I would take the watch off the charger at 7 am and by 9:30 am would have 1% battery left. I had to go through some arguments to get it replaced as Amazon wanted me to deal with Samsung who just wanted to fix it. Sorry but it was brand new and I wanted a new watch. The second Amazon rep that I spoke to did replace it. The first one looked at the date I purchased it, while the second one looked at the date I received it, and it was on day 30. I did not purchase the extended warranty as I have never had the need to use one the past with my Fitbits. Now I wish I purchased it as I wonder how long the replacement will work. If activity monitoring is your main use of the watch I caution you. Both watches tracked the calories burned the same. Everything else on the watch is great!

I am writing this review after almost a year of purchase. First of all, it is huge savings for me, as I never could stick to a watch and keep buying new ones. Not anymore! It is more than a watch or fitness tracker. It is like a part of my brain that i can not go without. The reason that prompted me to write this review was my scare last night that something is wrong as I was not being able to sync with my phone. I disconnected it 2 months ago during international travel and finally wanted to fix it, and I just could not! I was at the point where I realized - it is probably over and I need to look for another watch. In the past, this would make me excited as i LOVE changing watches, but not this time! No, I wanted this watch, with the cloud grey perfect band. Okay, I thought: "Think Apple! You can get iphone instead of Samsung and get the apple watch! They are cool. You have never tried it!" To my surprise, this terrified me. I did not want apple! Imagine my utmost joy when my technology stupor finally dissapated and I was able to pair my watch with my phone! So happy!!

I love this watch! After reading about the smart watch for a long time, and having upgraded my SAMSUNG phone- I made the purchase with confidence. The watch is practical, helpful, entertaining, motivating, comfortable, and fun. Features like, find my phone, mindful breathing, sleep data, water drinking tracker, and daily steps are things I use daily . The fact that I can answer my watch and talk on the watch is just the coolest thing ever! Lots of free widgets and features. I find the charge lasts a long time, over a day. I bought an extra charger to keep with me in case I am at work or away from home when my battery is low. That has come in handy. I got the smaller size and wonder if the larger one would be better? As my eyes age, the larger screen might be easier to read. But, I do like the looks of the smaller watch for my wrist size.

I like the watch a lot - first time with a smart watch. I have a Samsung phone so it was easy to set up. Get a screen protector right away if you do buy the watch. I scratched mine within the first month. I will say it's disappointing that Samsung Health doesn't offer a HIIT workout to choose, but they have badminton, I think. Even yoga. I do like the automatic step detection and counting, but their workout tracking is off. I swam open water about for 1 hour and it said I swam a total of 400 yards so that's off by a lot. I also do a lot of jumping rope and the calorie count is off, but I don't care so much about that. I connect to the phone only a couple times/week to save battery. I also don't have email setup on the phone bc I don't want the notifications. Update on swimming. In order for it to track a swim workout correctly, you must choose lap or outdoor. It does track laps quite well, but if you kick with a kickboard, it doesn't track it. Nor does it track one arm butterfly well. And once I selected outdoor swimming, it tracked it closely to a friend's apple watch.

LIght weight, great size for small wrist and works perfectly.. easy to set up and use Would highly recommend.. so good I have bought another one for my partner

Estoy contenta con este producto, despues de usar el apple watch por varios años, cambie a sistema android por lo que ya no fúe posible compaginar mi teléfono con el reloj y compré el reloj Samsung active. Tiene menos funciones que el iwatch que para mí es ideal, nunca termíne de entender ni de usar tantas. El active cumple lo importante para mí de monitorear rutinas de ejercicio, y permite recibir y hacer llamadas. No tiene bocina por lo que spotify no se escucha por medio del reloj , se puede controlar el volumen y cambio de canciones teniendo el teléfono cerca. A mi parecer el precio va de acorde con el reloj, hace lo que tiene que hacer, me gusta que puedo meterlomal agua para medir distancias y calorias pero no es como el apple que registra las modalidades de nado.

Excelente producto, era nuevo, no era reacondicionado, bonito, fácil de usar, aún lo sigo usando en pleno 2024, la bateria sigue sirviendo muy bien, de calidad en su software y con la interfaz con la aplicación del celular, me sigue gustando mucho.

Llegó en tiempo. Es de fácil sincronización, muy novedoso, fácil de usar, fácilmente programable. El único detalle es que a diferencia de la banda la pila dura como un celular, un poco más de un día, cuando a la banda le dura hasta 20 días dependiendo de las fuciones activadas. Si quieres usarlo para monitorear el ciclo de sueño tendrás que cargarlo antes de dormir, de lo contrario se puede descargar en la noche y no cumplirá esa función. De acuerdo a mi experiencia con la banda y con el smart watch, prefiero la banda para monitoreo del ejercicio y sueño, y el smart watch más como un accesorio.
