Though the gate comes slightly larger. I was able to cut the excess off to fit my opening. Though not easy and as it was thick I was able to put it in a vice and cut it off with a sawzall. It is great and my partner likes it. I would highly recommend it. The door has no problem carrying the wood as I see no drag, so the door hinges are strong. I would say when you build it bring a rubber mallet with you so you can get the proper spacing for the holes.

This kit takes a bit of work because the gate slots bend inwards. The magic thickness of boards to use is 5/8". Use tongue and groove type to minimize wood warping. Some slot will seem loose when putting in such boards, but once you tighten the carriage bolts it all comes together nice and tight. I got two sets for a double gate door and cut the steel frame to length and drilled new holes on one side. You end up with a hefty gate door that looks and feels premium and solid in the end. 4 stars due to 1x6 boards not fitting well and needed a replacement board type and the gate latch bolts being just a hair short.

This doorframe is super good and well made. One thing I have to say, it needs a little bit not whole a lot of talent and skills. Definitely not for kids to assemble. But overall all really happy and satisfied with it. I’m glad I bought it.

All I have to say is wow! - Each of the brackets were bent inwards. Even after using a 24" pry bar, none of the 1x6 boards really fit in there as the product describes. - Only a few of the holes line up in order to insert the hardware through it. - Package was delivered open and in general bad condition. This product is a lot like communism. Great in theory, but trash otherwise. I don't know if it's Amazon's overall carelessness or "Nuvo Irons" bad attention to detail, but this is no way to do business. The silver lining is now I will be able to defend myself against intruders with my new 24" pry bar, since I still don't have a gate. Amazon, you need to review your TQA processes. You've become synonymous with bad product.

Material looks sturdy and looks good. Size is tricky, you need about 1" to 2" wider opening then in description otherwise you have to be creative. The seller WILL NOT PAY FOR SHHIPPING return. I bought the wider gate and it did not fit because it needed an inch wider opening. So I ordered this one. But before I received it I figured away to modify the posts for the wider gate to work. I was able to install the gate flush with posts and therefore it worked. I tried retuning this one, and even though it was still unopened they refused to pay for shipping. It cost me 60% of the price of the gate to ship it back. My advise is only buy this if you have a wiggle room in the opening size. You can easily change posts or install flush or something. You do not want to pay for shipping back but you will if it does not fit or if you changed your mind. Nonetheless, I do recommend it because of easy of installation and it looks good. Just be ware of their expensive ship back policy.

The frame needs 3/4" thick slabs, it does not fit 1" thick slabs. Please follow basic engineering and quality control either 9n product side or employ competent writers to describe the product. I am sitting here with contractor spending an extra hour cutting 1inch boards to fit into the gate frame.

The boards have warped so you can see thru the cracks in the door

Easy to install. I had to modify to fit a smaller space but it was fairly simple. I’ve read a lot of complaints about the difficulty people are having installing, especially the boards. I suggest using thin cedar pickets from Home Depot. Don’t try to jam the pickets deep into the frame. The design is to set the boards into the larger space in the frame and then they will pinch into place when tightening the bolts. If you are looking for a heavy duty sentry gate this isn’t it.

Liked: 1. The solid frame 2. Final product looks great. Dislike: 1. Finding non wood boards a challenge. Used composite fascia boards. 2. Bolts for latch were too short, had to buy carriage bolts. 3. To support boards I used cross braces to strengthen and minimize boards looking warped.

This gate is really attractive once you get it installed. Step 1 throw away the instructions step 2 unbend all the bent metal that arrived with the useless instructions. step 3, gather a sander, drill (for wood and metal), hammer, square, and your patience. Step 4 commit the next three hours to building this gate. You will live the finished product! Good luck!

Malheureusement, pour 200$ c'est vraiment chère pour quelque chose qui n'est qu'un cadre de porte... Il n'y pas le bois donc vous venez acheter les planches pour remplir la porte et deux poteaux de bois. Ça m'a coûté 150$ de plus tout le reste à acheter, donc pour 350$ non je crois que j'aurais dû ahceter autre chose...
