Cat families, This Works!!
If you are having aggression problems with your cats, THIS WORKS! Our situation: Our older orange cat passed. We have two others. The younger, 4 yrs old, a calico, and the older, a 9 yr old black male, fixed. Anyone who has a calico knows that as part of their personality, they like to be the top kitty. Anyway, she began bullying the male and being aggressive toward him. We bought Feliway diffusers and saw almost no change. I researched collars and almost all of them had lavender essential oils, which is TOXIC TO CATS. I only found two that did not have the lavender. I put this collar on my female and it worked within the hour! I know the package says maybe two weeks, but this was immediate. It's been several days and she has become calm, is sleeping more, and has not taken any "runs" at the other cat. He has noticed the difference also and now is less nervous and doesn't avoid her like the plague as before. I can't recommend this enough. Perhaps the feliway enhances the effect, but really, I don't think so. Not sure. As far as the collar falling off, yes I'm sure it would. There is no buckle as with most collars. It has two "tabs" that fit into slits in the collar. I just put a tiny cable tie, a plastic tie wrap that locks when you pull it and then I cut the end off. Other than the calming and contented demeanor of my calico, I've noticed that she is more cuddly and desirous of pets. Before she would begin wanting to play with claws quickly, instead of cuddling, so that's great too. In fact, she's sleeping next to me as I type this. Try it, you'll be very happy. I am.

Far exceeded expectations for my cat
I got the collar and a set of 3 diffusers a month before I moved to help my 13 year old cat cope with the chaos of packing and going to a new home and they far exceeded my expectations. I was absolutely amazed at the change in his demeanor almost immediately after putting on the collar and plugging in the diffusers around the house. He became a totally different cat and seemed to come out of his shell, like he'd maybe been depressed for years is the only way to describe it. He seemed more playful, outgoing, more alert, even with everything going on and he definitely took the chaos way better than I expected. There are multiple diffusers throughout the new home so he could adjust and realize this was going to be his new safe domain to rule over and I'm sure these helped with the transition. I'm extremely happy with both collar and diffusers and would highly recommend.

Appears to take the edge off of skittish cat for 9-10 days max
I'm beginning to wonder if there is an expiration date for these collars that I am missing (or maybe prolonged heat in a stored warehouse reduces effectiveness) because the efficacy of this collar did not last anywhere near a month for my cat. I remember reading another reviewer mentioning 2 weeks, but I observed 9-10 days only. I made sure to have the collar inside her usual collar so that is was closer to her skin as instructed. I received the product on 7/19 and by 7/27 noticed my cat being alarmed once again by random little noises in the house, so put on a new collar on 7/28, which immediately and noticeably caused her to ignore sounds from the kitchen, etc. and return to a more normal, calm (not drowsy) state of behavior. So, what I love about this collar is that it DID take the edge off for my cat who has become much more aware and alarmed by common household noise. She has been recently diagnosed with FLUTD/ FIC, which is why I'm seeking a long term solution to help lower her stress. What I noticed that it did NOT do is last for more than 9-10 days, and also it did NOT help my cat during a thunderstorm. She quickly ran crying back to her spot in the corner of my closet. I have tried giving her the Pet Honesty calm treat, and yes just one treat pellet helps noticeably. I was hoping to use the collar as a replacement for the treats because you have to stay on top of anticipated noise and give the treat ahead of time. I did try the Bach's Rescue Remedy, I had purchased as another possibility. When I first noticed that the collar wasn't going to cut it during a thunderstorm, I rubbed 1-2 drops inside her ear flap making sure the liquid did not run down into her inner ear. That worked for the duration of the storm and quickly. Whew! I don't know how well the collar might work for a vet visit. It might do fine for the car ride there, but once arriving to the vet that has barking dogs, since it didn't work for the thunder, I don't have a lot of hope that it will be enough for that situation. So, I like this collar for daily help especially for a cat diagnosed with a stressed induced urinary health issue (FIC). I just wish it lasted for the full month because I'm not sure the price is as great as it first appears when you have to switch out a new collar every 9-10 days. I might try buying this in a local pet store to see if I get better results, going back to the expiration/storage issue being sent from a warehouse that I mentioned earlier.

It helps
I inherited my mom's cat, Teeka, in January when my mom died. I have multiple cats of my own, and Teeka has been an only cat for most of her life. The adjustment has been basically at a stand still: she's cool with the house, but not cool with most of my cats. One day, she was venturing down the hallway and started mouthing off to my senior cat, Nena. Nena is a warrior and didn't appreciate what Teeka said to her and decided she had enough. They got into it, no injuries, with a ton of fur flying and resulting in Teeka peeing herself. I took her to the vet and she was prescribed a calming medication, but it was freaking her out taking meds twice a day. I decided to try a calming collar instead. Teeka is still quite high-strung, but she will venture out of her room and go into the hallway and kitchen. I think she would go farther if I wasn't so nervous when she's out. Since she's been wearing the collar, she's more tolerant of some of the other cats in her room. She now has a roommate, Oreo, and they tolerate each other extremely well. The only problem: she can sometimes unbuckle the collar. She's a very smart cat and when she gets tired of it, she will take it off. It's not very often, so that's good. All in all, I'm happy with the result of the collar.

Doesn't work!
I have used this collar for one of my cat because every once in awhile she has peeing outside of a litter box and being intense sometimes. Products really DOESN'T help as products say it does! I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE they are expensive for two plastic collars and I felt like I really was getting rip off for just plastic in the name of "Calming collar." So I switched it to something new and much reasonable price for under $15 *Calming Collar for Cats, 4 Pack Cat Pheromone Collar, 60-Day Each* It has little scent to it but IT WORKS!! My Kitty is much calmer and more loving and not pering outside of a litter box so far. It has been 3 weeks. So I highly recommend ditch this product cheating you with nothing but plastic and try other one. Far as price goes you have nothing to lose.

Finally some peace in the pride
Our vet recommended Feliway diffusers, but they didn’t do much for our crew. We’ve got three cats—Muffin, Katie, and Little Bit—who weren’t exactly living in harmony. Muffin bullies Katie, Little Bit bullies everyone, and we were dealing with some marking issues too. We gave these collars a try and noticed a big difference. The marking stopped, and the territorial bullying toned way down. I think it works better because it’s worn on their bodies, not just floating in the room like a diffuser. After about 3 weeks, the effects seem to taper off, but we take the collar off, give it a little stretch, and put it back on—like a pheromone reboot. No odor, just results. The collars fit all three of our cats with no problems. Oh - and they are easier to use than diffusers, too. No mess. We added these to our Subscribe & Save. It’s the only thing so far that’s actually worked for our cats.

Update: doesn’t last. These saved my sanity! Really works!
Update: this stopped working after 2 weeks. Sad it did not last a month. Changed my 5 star to a 2 start rating. After buying the expensive Sentry brand that costs $25 for only 1 collar, I found these that came with 2 for $25. I was a little skeptical since I have not heard of this brand before but these work just as well for half the price! I have 2 cats so these are a lot easier on the wallet which is my main reason for switching brands. 1 cat is very needy, anxious and vocal. She will cry and beg for attention when I’m sleeping or eating. After putting this on her she kind of just does her own thing and is a lot less skittish. 2nd cat is a genius and knows how to unlock my doors, open cabinets, and even out-smarted my automatic feeder. I wanted cats but basically got a 3 yr old toddlers instead. Anyway, I can say he has at least stopped trying to escape outside and slamming my cabinets. He still knows how to get food out of the feeder by shaking it so bits fall out though. Overall this has definitely helped his mischievous demeanor.

Collar really works!
I bought this after the vet recommended a pretty expensive supplement to help my cat that had a “stress induced” urinary issue. I cut the supplement dosage in half and also used this cołlar, and the results have been great! And I could tell by his demeanor at day 29 that it was time for a new collar! I’m hoping that his current stress level subsides so I can discontinue the supplement, but I will continue with the collar because it benefits him!

Finally a more content cat!
I bought these after moving my cat from the desert of California to England and suddenly having a dog as a roommate. My cat was having trouble adjusting and had begun scent marking. I bought these and have seen a world of difference! In only 2 weeks of wear he has stopped marking and is way more confident exploring the new house and walking into rooms even with the dog present. They are made to break easily so as to not choke cats but I haven't had any trouble with that. It may be that I have a less active cat (although young, he is more of a hunter/stalker than the run around/zoomies type) so it has not come off yet. It has come loose once or twice but not enough for it to slip over his head and get lost before I can readjust it.
