Worked on the first try and stayed on through the night
I purchased these tattoos for my Halloween costume. I didn’t get a chance to test them before Halloween as I’d hoped. They were pretty easy to put on, I’d say easier than some of the temporary tattoos I put on my kids. You have to cut out the different pieces and I think the smaller the piece, the easier and better it went on. I put the whole forehead piece on at one time because I was in a rush and while it didn’t look bad, I definitely ripped off the very top and missed some of the vines. The eyes looked like more hassle than they were worth for the 5-10 minutes I had. I wore a primer underneath the tattoos and some concealer to make myself look more pale. I was able to get the tattoos off using Neutrogena oil free eye makeup remover on a cotton ball very easily. My friend put them straight on her skin with no primer or lotion or anything and they came off fine using the same makeup remover as well. I have most of the tattoos left for other dress up events or next Halloween!

Better than Expected & EASY to Remove HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Bought these back in 2022 & didn't use them until 2023, they are NOT difficult to remove and I am only writing this review because others had said that. I came back to read the reviews for the other tips and tricks that people had left (very helpful). I threw this idea together the night before Halloween late enough that I did not want to go to the store for white face paint. I ended up using plain old white water color paint . This makes the tattoos even easier to remove, & is a better overall look, though I had trialed removing them from my bare skin with just oil and that was fine too. USE OIL (any kind) or ALCOHOL and they come off NO Problem !!!!! Someone said they had scabs on their face and their daughter was scratched up, they obviously did not read the directions ! They said they used "oil based cleanser" and some other thing that was not Alcohol. I used olive oil one time and coconut oil the other. I got tons of compliments on how great the tattoos came out. I did cut them out but I only wished I had cut them in smaller pieces, because I messed a couple up trying to hold them without moving them when they were kind of big and I was putting water on them me with the other hand. When I removed the complete face, I slathered coconut oil all over my face and had planned to leave it on a few minutes, but for some reason wiped it off almost immediately, and that was not enough, so I slathered it again and waited a few minutes and removed again. I used an alcohol wipe for just a few tiny stubborn areas left over and the alcohol instantly wipes them away, I just did not want to use alcohol on my whole face because it is so drying. Don't use oil based face paint. based on other reviews and the fact that oil is used to remove them....they won't stick to that base. I would definitely purchase these again and highly recommend them.

Easy to apply, not so easy to cut out from page.
Definitely upgraded the look I wanted to pull off today. Easy to apply although make sure it fits “your” face size and shape before applying them. Several pages are small and I opted not to use those because it was had to cut them out. I used a white face paint stick first and then applied.

Great For Those Not Artistically Inclined
These are exactly as pictured. They're just like the temporary tattoos that we used to find in Cracker Jacks boxes. We plan to use these to complete our skeleton costumes. We experimented with them ahead of time to understand application and removal, so plan for mistakes. Give yourself about 90 minutes to apply this to your face or someone else's face. Yes, you can apply a thin coat of white face paint. I recommend water-based face paint, which you can find in your local store's Halloween section, local party stores, arts & crafts supply stores, and seasonal pop-up stores. I don't think these tattoos will stick well to oil-based/grease paint. Do yourself a favor and buy a cheap foundation brush to apply the face paint. You can get one for under $3 made by a cheap make-up brand with 2 w's in its name. Other supplies that'll come in handy -- eyeshadow brush (for painting black around your eyes), contour brush (for shading to create the skull shape in cheek and temple hollows), fine-tip brush, black eyeshadow, and black eyeliner . These tattoos won't stick to your eyebrows. The top of the eye piece will need to go above your eyebrow, but you may want to buy a glue stick to paste your eyebrows down and keep them out of the way before you paint your face white. You'll need to cut out individual pieces and apply one piece at a time to your face. Cut the eye pieces in half for easier application, and be sure to cut away the inner white section from the eye pieces for easier placement. Keep all your face pieces on the counter in the same order they were attached to the sheet or take a photo of the sheet before you start cutting. Plan the placement of each piece on your face before you begin. Tips: - Paste your eyebrows down with glue stick, if desired. - Paint your face white with foundation brush dipped in water. Allow to dry completely. - Remove clear plastic lining and apply 1 piece at a time to face. Wet the white backing with a Q-tip to avoid disrupting your face paint. When the white back begins to slide around (20 - 30 seconds), remove it. Add more water to the white backing as necessary to attach the tattoo to your face. - When finished, line your eyes with black eyeliner, and then use black face paint to fill in the rest of the area between your eyelids and the eye tattoo (the more black eyeliner that you use, the less face paint you'll have near your eyes). - You can try using the nose tattoo or just color in the tip of your nose with black eyeliner. - Use eyeliner to draw teeth on your lips. - Use black eyeshadow and contour brush to shade the hollows of your temple, cheeks, top of your forehead near hairline, jawline, sides of your nose, anywhere you need it to complete the skull look. Important for removal -- if you apply to bare skin, rather than a light coating of white face paint, the tattoos will be harder to remove, and you'll have to scrub your face more. The light coating of white face paint does make application a bit more difficult, but seems to make removal a bit easier. For removal, use a Q-tip to apply oil to the tattoos (baby oil, canola oil, olive oil, any will do). Let the oil soak for several minutes. Use a make-up removal towelette (or sacrifice a wash cloth) to wipe the tattoos off. You may have to repeat this process 1 or 2 more times to get stubborn tattoos off. Be patient. Apply the oil. Let soak. Wipe. Wash and moisturize your face. Have fun!

It can work…
It’s a nice idea. However, they should have maybe two to three of the same design, and less of the other weird designs. Some designs will apply well, and other will not. I messed up several times and unfortunately it was with the designs I liked, and so I could not use them. In the end, I had to use the weirder color combos and design, which I did not like. They do come off easily. Maybe a bit too easily , especially for the ones in the brow and mouth area, it was almost impossible to keep the ones on the mouth area on. While I made it “work” I wasn’t impressed and wouldn’t buy it again.

Great Day of the Dead tatoos
The face taroos look really cool, but take a bottle of time to remove. We used olive oil.

Beaucoup de plaisir à appliquer les tatoos. Par contre, plus difficile que ce que je pensais. 13 pages ne sont pas de trop, pour les essais erreurs!
