Perhaps I didn't get lucky, but even when setting the red power cable to the 3v3 pin, it's audible when in operation - even when standing next to it. I use mine plugged into my router, so it's not a big deal, but I think it would annoy me if I was in the same room as it for prolonged periods of time. Minor improvement: as someone else said, the addition of the pin layout and which pins to connect to in the form of a leaflet or something would have been ideal.
