Rothco Vintage Infantry Shorts

I read the reviews prior to purchasing and realized these run large. I am 5’8, 160 lbs and typically wear a 32 waist. I purchased a small (27-31) and the fit is perfect. The inner button helps snug things up and with a light tug on the waist string - bam! Love these!!! It’s the same fabric as the 60’s through the early 70’s material soldiers used to starch. Won’t stretch like 100% cotton cargos that get looser through the day. These are simply the best cargo shorts I’ve found. They are really well made. Having served in the Army and worn similar material for years, these shorts will last thousands of wash and wears. BOMB!

I have really enjoy these shorts, the material and digital camo are excellent. Only problem I'm guessing is the size? It seems these where made for tall person.little long on da legs,but like lt anyway,anyone looking for item should check amazon first.as ebay userer,I feel more safer with amazon and shipping has been on time as mention.Thank you amazon

I purchased from Amazon over 100 orders in 2010. I had trouble with 2. This is one of the 2. I purchased a pair in May, and then a pair in July as I really liked the loose fit and construction. However, zippers failed in both pairs. I was unable to return to Amazon so I chalk it up to my bad for not trying to return in a more timely manner. I would assume I got a bad run of zippers as everything else was very well made. I would buy another pair IF I knew the zippers would hold. It just appeared to be a non standard one and came off track extremely easily.

Last summer, I ordered a pair of olive green cargo shorts which (after a looooong wait) arrived from China. I loved them, but they rapidly disintegrated (literally), and I've been trying to find a replacement ever since. After returning many pairs of shorts, I am happy to have found the ONES. These are well-constructed from a heavy fabric that gets super-soft right after the first wash. The pockets are large, numerous, and close securely. I do find them a bit large, and the drawstring is a bit too small to be useful, but they still fit pretty well and I'm happy with them. Note that I'm an older, tallish, athletically-built (read: no hips to speak of) woman. It's possible I didn't get the size right and these do run true-to-size. Note to the ladies: If you're on this page, I'd guess you're like me and are looking for longer, looser shorts with real pockets, and lots of 'em. You aren't going to turn any heads while wearing these, they aren't very flattering. At some point, though, you just want some goshdarn pockets, and shorts that let you have full range of motion without revealing too much. If all this is true, I think you'll like these. I'm about to order 2 or 3 more pairs.

Shorts were made very well and of good quality. Unfortunately they run big...I read reviews so my husband wears XL so I ordered L. I had to send them back because they were too big.

I love all the different camo patterns as well as the OD color that I have gotten of this style of Rothco shorts. All are roomy and comfortable. If I had to pick a thing that I like least, it would be the zipper. It is sufficient, but I wish it was a stronger one.

Not for me. They look better in the picture than in real life. They were super long for me. Tye inseam, for pants, is 30". I felt like I was wearing capris. I returned them.

I will be buying more of these! Solid construction; thick cotton; tons of pockets. These will LAST! Pockets close with two buttons, and have a nice overlap so items in pockets won't fall out. Overlapping two button closure at the waist. Ties at legs and waist to adjust fit. These are LONG shorts. Depending on your legs they will fall a little above or below the knees. NOT short shorts, so don't expect this! pockets - diagonal slot pockets (no button closure); small money clip pocket front right; HUGE cargo pockets on each thigh - button closure; two back pockets - button closure. I don’t know how to tell you about sizing. I am a large female and got the 3x, which I usually get to fit just a bit loose, but not too much. These events fit GREAT! As I said at the beginning, I will be getting more of these!

very accurate sizing. measure to be sure, ordered way to big thinking it would fit small.
