Alchemy of the Heart

A great book to read as a intro before going to The Presence Process. After just being at a weekend workshop with Michael, there is no doubt of his intent, wisdom and heart. Being in the 7th session of the process, I am blown away at how I am feeling, what occurrences continue to deepen and expand my awareness. Most incredibly I am coming to a place of self love and acceptance that I have only heard others speak of and believe you me, I have studied and read much, seen countless spiritual/new age teacher/gurus and practiced many modalities of self healing....but this (and this is a very big BUT)....this is the "how to of all how to's" and I am ever so grateful for all the work Michael has done to bring it together in the way that he did. I am truly beginning to feel the liberation of all my past negative conditioning. Yeah!! So give it a go, use this wonderful tool to self facilitating your way back home...to YOU!!

Where do I begin? How can I go without, when I go within? This book is an amazing follow up to my other favorite book in life, The Presence Process (also by Michael Brown). Wow, this book breaks down so many deep life concepts around emotional maturity in an easy to digest way. There are many books on self development and self awareness (I have read MANY) but nobody hits the mark like Michael Brown. I recommend this book to so many friends and they LOVE it. It even helped me and my Mom get closer after years of a distant relationship.

It is so wonderfully magical to find an author who puts into clear words what happened to me that I had no idea how to explain. One day, something comes over you and decides to make everything right again. You have no idea what made you listen to that presence but you can't live without it now because you know it has your back. It's a difficult, painful path but at one point, when you've truly touched bottom, you realize that everything is finally alright, the veil has dropped, the tears and depression are gone and life is once again worth living. Thank you Michael Brown for explaining the magic that took over me.

The book helped me move toward a greater understanding of a relationship with God. The Prescence Process was an insight into emotional integration, while Alchemy of the Heart provided insight into other aspects of my life that can enhance it.

I only read half of this book... why? Because I forgot it in the seat pocket when I flew across the Atlantic... And you know what? When I realized this I was so HAPPY... Why? Because I knew that someone was going to find it and get to read it and I felt nothing but joy. I came to this site so I could buy it and finish the last half, but I already know enough about this book and this author ..( I'm also reading and doing his Presence Process)... to rate it 5 stars... I'd give it 11 if there were 10. It's so exciting to be finding that the path to a place I'd once visited temporarily, as if on a vacation, was actually a place that I can now live. The only thing more exciting than that is wanting to share this discovery with so many others... I'm risking becoming a pain on Facebook talking about this author... He is full of Humility and backs away from any notion that he or anyone can do unto any other. This is a Process that only you can take on for you. Michael Brown is a guide for you to enable your own journey to a place that is so incredible you'll be awed and probably even suffer a wave of fear that you might ever loose what you gained it is so precious. Thankfully he teaches us how to transcend that kind of fear so we are able to recover from it! If you want to gift people you love... his books would be a way to accomplish that and, if they are not ready to read them, they might give them to someone who would... they are truly a gift to the world.

Interesting read. It might be something better understood the more it is read.

Experinecing Alchemy of the Heart feels more like remembering than learning, like discovering something that has always been there, something that I could feel and that I knew was there, but that I could never put my finger on for more than a moment. The practical guidence of Michael Brown's The Presence Process provides a framework to start the consistent, conscious journey inward. Alchemy of the Heart further illuminates that journey by showing how we can use energy that was set back into motion through The Presence Process as rocket fuel to reach the infinite stars within ourselves. The impact of The Presence Process and Alchemy of the Heart on my life can't be overstated. Walking this path I no longer seek enlightenment, crave epiphany, nor pursue happiness. I now accept peace, find significance in the subtle, and surrender to the joy of feeling everything. I will continue to revisit The Presence Process and Alchemy of the Heart throughout the rest of this life. These books exemplify exactly what they helped me rediscover about myself... I am enough. I am infinite. The way out is in.

After reading and doing The Presence Process: A Journey into Present Moment Awareness , I yearned for more from Michael Brown. I was uncertain about getting Alchemy of the Heart because I thought it might contain the same material as his first book. I turned to these Amazon reviews and got no clear answer: some said it was the same, others said it was well worth reading even if you read The Presencs Process. Being uncertain, I went with my gut and purchased it. I am writing this for anyone who has the same dilemma. GET IT! The first part of the book does contain much from his first book. But the new information is amazing. And even the same concepts are great to read again. I found this book equal to his first one and in some ways better!
