Nice gift but does not hold much. Also it had no lining inside so had to make my own for it. It really smelled too awful to gift as delivered so I had to clean out the inside very well. I then sat all pieces after taking apart the puzzle box on 2 dryer sheets for 2 weeks to get the musty soft wood smell to dissipate which worked well. Overall, it turned out okay with a little TLC but I would not buy again nor recommend this product. Great concept though! The puzzle part is pretty neat.

The box was beautiful but the stain paint was so strong when we received it I could not give it as a gift I left it outside to air out it took two weeks to get rid of the smell so noThe stain paint they used to color and coat the box with was very stinky and potentw I’m saving it for a different holiday to give us a gift

The box absolutely wreaks of stain, it still feels damp, like the stain was just done and didn't properly dry... The wood looks warped in areas, there is green in the wood and it looks split and glued. I do not recommend this.

All these people who are giving crappy reviews don't know anything about woodworking or what something like this would normally cost. This is cheap. Of course its not top end quality. Its not bad tho. Sure it might have a bit of a smell. It dissapates over time, all wood smells and all stain smells. This box is extremely basic and quick to make. Imagine this..Cost= sales cost + (labor x wage)+materialcostDo some math. Its worth the money.

They are very cute but smell horrible I bought them to put some hand made earringsin as a special gift but not sure enough of the clemical odor will be gone to use them one arrived broken but it was quickly replaced

The box was an awesome thought but it looks like no effort was put into it. Cuts were uneven, box was warped. And this was the replacement of the first one I ordered which was in worst shape.

In the description it says it’s not painted. When I opened the package there was a distinct odor of stain. It was still wet and coming off on the bubble wrap. I wiped off all the excess reddish brown stain and it still stinks after a week! This is a sweet 16 gift for my granddaughter. Hopefully the odor goes away in a few more days of airing out. Disappointed.
