BTECH QHM07 Platinum Series Noise-Cancelling Earpiece with in-line PTT & Microphone for K1 Radios Like BaoFeng, Kenwood Radios (Includes Earmolds and Earbud, 1 Pack)

It was exactly what I needed. The components seem to be of high quality and it works perfectly with my Baofeng UV-5G GMRS radio (I imagine it will work with many Baofeng radios and possibly others that used the two-pin Kenwood style connector). Sound quality is decent as is the transmit audio. It is interesting that the inline microphone with PTT has no opening for the audio to get in and works great, so that makes it somewhat more weather proof. I like it.

I bought this to replace the crappy generic earpiece that came with my Baofeng BF8-HP. I like this so far, except two things; 1) The clear tubing loop that goes over your ear is just a TAD too long, so there's no the loop doesn't actually rest on the top of your ear and support the earpiece unless you configure the cord to be pulling downwards. I'm considering adding a piece of wire through the tube to try to get it to form better, but I don't know how this will affect sound quality. 2) the sound quality itself. Although this is just an issue with the acoustic-tube style earpiece in general, from my understanding, the sound quality is a bit lacking. Audio is slightly muted and not crisp compared to other styles. Not a huge deal, but a little unfortunate. Another small gripe is that there's no way to use the earbud tip in conjunction with the in-ear retainer piece, so in order to use the in-ear piece you're sacrificing sound quality and noise cancelling properties. not sure how much I care about that, but figured I should mention it. All in all not a bad product, and it's certainly light-years better than the stock Baofeng one. It's quality too, seems like it will last a good long while, and function reasonably well while doing so!

Crystal clear audio in and out my ONLY complaint is that BOTH wires should be on the bottom of the unit. The one on the top tends to dig into my throat with wearing it on my shirt collar and the spring clips for the mic and the speaker could be deeper. Other than that it’s an awesome little unit for the price!!

I was a little skeptical on this product I bought for some baofang radios. The name brands ear pieces are super expensive. Once I received these, they worked right out of the box. Of course as expected there were no instructions to adjust the ear piece and such but nothing you couldn't figure out for yourself.

The connections into the radio itself as well as into the speaker/mic are very poor. One touch and they disconnect. Either ear piece option is uncomfortable and unsecured in ear. Poor fit, poor quality. . Dr. M

Got this ear piece about 2.5 years ago now. It's an amazing piece, sound quality is great. I use it for airsoft and it hasn't ripped yet lol. Using it with my Baofeng BF-F8. It can start to hurt your ear if you wear it for hours upon hours. But I take it out in-between games and it's just fine! I will definitely buy it again in needed

I like that this accessory eliminates the need to keep the radio in your hand when communicating. It also keeps communications private from those around you. The drawback to this item is that it only transmits on the "B" channel of the UV-82HP. It will not allow communication on the "A" channel. Baofeng needs to update this accessory to allow toggling between the A & B channels. Another drawback are the attachment clips. The clip setup makes attachment really funky when you run the wires under your shirt/jacket. The clips and the remote PTT feel like they are very cheaply made. The quality feels more like a $5.99 item. If Btech upgrades the PTT button to a dual function and the cheaply attached clips, I would gladly pay $20.00 for this accessory.

Two areas that could be improved: (1) ear piece that plugs into PTT unit has a small two-pin connection that can come loose. (2) given two left ear holders instead of a left and right. Wiring for the earpiece held up very well to the rigors of scenario paintball. Strain relief and rotating adapter for the pin-connection work well. Rotating clip makes mounting earpiece a snap. Using in conjunction with a radio harness is beneficial combination. PTT was small, but was easy to access. Used the earpiece for a 2-day paintball event and my ear wasn't in excruciating pain when done. Fairly comfortable. Sound quality was outstanding. Highly recommended.
