First it is a breeze to set up. Being from the older generation, these things can be quite intimidating. The set up was almost completely automatic. The app is easy to use. There are some cheaper units that claim to do the job, but I know from experience that they will not work as well even if you can get them to work at all. We were in Italy a few weeks ago and this system worked flawlessly. I would get an alert that a "person" was detected. I'd go to the app and see that it was the landscaping crew. It records all activity if you insert a small memory SD card. I was planning to keep it plugged into a charger, but decided against it because it was unnecessary. The batteries in my unit work for about three months. Then I just hook up a charger for a few hours and I'm good to go for another 3 months.

I use these cameras to track garden pests. Deer, raccoons, groundhogs, etc. Overall I'm happy with these cameras (I have two and am considering a third). Quality is reasonable, the rechargeable battery lasts a while, the app works great, no Wi-Fi connection problems, and the price is right. They aren't perfect, however. #1 complaint is that you can't delete individual movie clips. (I've read that you can move the memory card to a computer and do it there, but I haven't tried.) From the app, you can only reformat the card which deletes everything. #2 complaint is that the motion detection takes a while to activate the camera. Typically, clips start with something in the middle of the field of view (a deer walking past, for example). You never see anything actually ENTER the field of view. #3 complaint - and this is more of a wish - it would be really nice to be able to "link" multiple cameras, so that if the motion detection is tripped on any one camera, then they all start recording. Lastly, I don't think they are completely winter-proof. I had one previously and left it out all winter, and it did not survive. The battery eventually ran all the way down and I never brought it in. I had it attached to a fence post, it was not sheltered in any way. In the spring the whole thing was dead - condensation inside the camera, would not charge, etc. I know others have reported that theirs survived winter with no problems, but not mine. I will be sure to bring them in before the first frost this year.

Last year I bought two of these cameras after deciding they would be the best for more needs upon considerable research. I have not been disappointed. Key points: 1. Can access the cameras remotely using my phone 2. Can access cameras from my desktop. Many wireless cameras only provide mobile app support 3. The batteries hold a charge for months and can quickly be recharged using a USB cable and charger. 4. I have one solar panel which keeps that camera's battery topped up. This camera is mounted on an eve high up so it's important that I don't have to climb a ladder to recharge it. 5. Night vision is incredible and the camera switches to it automatically 6. Videos can be stored in the cloud and/or on a micro-sd card. 7. Reolink's support team has gone out of their way to help me when I had a though I had an issue (turns out I did not). Highly recommend. Reolink and their products.

It's has an excellent camera with a very clear image for a long distance even though the motion sensor is short range. "Real time" has a couple seconds delay. Requires your own wifi router or hotspot. Requires disk to save pictures or footage. Without the disk, there is only live monitoring.

This camera will only meet minimum expectations. The streamed quality is low. The recorded is better, but I would not say it was ever even close to spec. The camera also has poor antennae parts and design. They use very old technology in this respect. If you camera is anywhere beyond 50 ft from the router, expect connection issues. The alerting latency is unacceptable. The alerts will arrive to you phone from 15 seconds to 1 minute after an event. The analytics are poor and exceptionally basic. The camera will recognize mailboxes, garbage cans, boxes, path lights and God knows what else as animals. It does a reasonable job of recognizing a human figure, but also confuses them with plant movement. Vehicle recognition is good, but the motion detection is so poor that it often only turns the recording on during the very last moment the vehicle is in the field of view. retrieving your recordings is a pain because they load the oldest recordings first. So if you camera recorded plant movements and mailboxes all night, you will have 50-100 of those recordings having to load, before you get to the most recent recording. They have it all backwards. Also expect the unit to fight between your wifi and cell signal. This will take you an extra minute to get the live picture to operate effectively. Overall, the camera is built with components and programming features that are several years old, so if you set your expectations of a camera that we manufactured in 2010-2015, then you will be happy. If you are expecting anything of high quality involving current technology and analytics...you will be severely disappointed. Most of Reolink's products are using very crudely produced analytics that are of very low value and their advertised capabilities are misleading. If you want high quality performance, there are other brands out there, but you will pay much more. Set your expectations low and Reolink will be a pleaser.

The range is very, very, good. There's another camera brand that rhymes with "fries" and the range does not even compare. I have this Argus mounted on a fence about 200 feet from the house, and it is communicating with only minor lag, with a wifi router inside the house. The app is just okay, but I do like that they have a desktop app. Other manufacturers only provide phone apps, and it's hard to see what's going on on such a tiny screen. One very annoying thing, is that this camera's price dropped $15 about a week after I bought it. I'm not sure if that's the seller's fault or Amazon's fault, so I'm not removing any stars for that fact. However, I will be returning this and buying it at a lower price because Amazon doesn't want to give me a price adjustment.

Keep scrolling. Get a different kind. I purchased 2 of these and they where easy to install. I had to borrow a neighbors latter to set it up, but no problems. First setback was I couldn’t get the cloud recording on this camera type. This I had to go purchase the memory card which was fine-perhaps I read the info wrong. The second setback was not trying to get my cameras on the Reoclient app. Horrible service and it never worked so then I had to spend additional money to get a monitor separately and add the cameras. Next it keeps disconnecting to my Wi-Fi and drops live view after a few minutes. If I would have known that, I would have saved my money on all of this. Thankfully I have 2 Wi-Fi connections at my house, but even on the Wi-Fi that is super strong, even though the cameras are right above the router and with only 2 other items connected, I constantly have connection issues. Now, we are less than a month in and it shows connection failed and I will have to go get the ladder to reset the cameras outside. Listen, I should have just spent the money to get the versions that can actually work for what I need. Adding up the cost of everything spent along side the downtime of this camera, I am at a loss and will most likely find a way to sale them.

Camera is close to perfect for the price, picture is clear night and day time. It alerts my phone right away faster than the ring door bell I have. Only negative is the speaker isn’t very clear but the person outside can understand what I was saying. I ordered one for a trial run but now I’m going to order 4 more all around my house.
