Universal Air Conditioner CO 4918AC A/C Compressor and Clutch

Worked great. Removed the existing oil and added peg oil, Vacumm out the system, installled it and bam its works great. Been throwing cold air since it was installed about 3 months ago. Very satified. I watched a youtube video of a "How to Replaced an AC Compressor in your Car" by Chris Fix and a couple of other youtube videos and it help alot. Did purchase a vacumm pump. Well worth the purchase. A auto Shop wanted $620 to replace the compressor and charge the ac. I did it myslef in 2hrs. Most of it was waiting to see if my gauges would tell me if i had a leakage in my system. Luckly i didnt loose any vacumm pressure.

Working good so far. Cold air.. Had to use original mourning bolts, and one of the original screws as the one that came in the package did not fit. Not a big issue as I still had the original from the old compressor.

Installed on a 2008 Honda Civic sedan with 120,000 miles. It's been installed for 3 months and performs very well without problems. This was installed by local Honda dealer for just under $500.00 including evacuation and new freon. Also purchased Universal Air Conditioner RS 2563 A/C System Seal Kit - UAC. UPDATES: Fall 2017 working as expected. Next update in Spring/Summer 2018. 2018 - Worked great throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. Now over 155k miles. Holding out on last star to see where things are next summer ;-) 2019.

Had my a/c system die on me and ordered this And other parts, it came quickly! After installation, I am happy to say that it fit perfectly and works as it should! The only thing left is to test its durability, which we’ll see with time!

Purchased one of these because of the good price. I was warned on UAC brand that their product life is usually much shorter than OEM. I should have listened. Lasted barely over a year. Went out on me in the middle of traffic with an infant in the car. 97 Degrees outside. I lost a lot of money on this. Installation, freon...now have to do it all over again. But won't be with a UAC product.

This compressor was originally adequate in performance, but totally failed after 1 1/2 years. Other reviewers have had better luck than me -- but now have to do over again and will purchase a different compressor.

Very nice. I was a bit skeptical in ordering this item so I took a risk and there is no disappointment here. Product arrived well packed, and it appears all first class parts used. It has been installed for over a month now with absolutely no problems. It was an easy swap as both old and new parts were exactly the same. All the right wire harnesses were in place. Just flush the old oil add new oil. Really good buy

This compressor doesn’t work. I had my mechanic install it and he said it’s not working and that I should have it returned for a refund. It’s very unfortunate because something like an AC compressor is difficult to install and costs a lot. It’s only until it’s installed if you can tell if it works or not. Brand new AC compressor and it doesn’t work and Amazon won’t let me get a refund because too much time has passed. I would not buy from them.
