Nasty, Rat-style fuzzstortion with infinite tonal control. A doom/sludge dream!
With this pedal, there are nine knobs, plus the one knob playing the instrument. Nine knobs may be a bit overwhelming for newbie players, but (not to toot my own horn) I'm fairly experienced with pedals, amps, recording etc. and I only saw possibilities. I'll go through them as thoroughly as possible here:Distortion: fairly self-explanatory. The distortion from here goes from a really gritty, backroads overdrive to full-on fuzz. It really is more of a fuzzstortion than a real distortion, and it sounds more like the distortion here is made inside the op amp than by clipping the signal with the diodes. This pedal screams QOTSA, Sleep, High on Fire, and the obligatory reference to Sunn 0))).Depth: I haven't looked at the schematic, but from what I've heard it sounds like this is what it does: in most pedals, there is a primary filter that gets rid of a lot of the low end before it goes through the gain stage, because if one sends a ton of low end through the gain stage, it sounds farty, boomy and unrefined. I think that the depth knob is a variable filter that adds more low end through the gain stage. Once again, I cannot confirm this, but that is what it sounds like. Putting it all the way clockwise makes the fuzz real sludgy and unpleasant to people looking for a "natural" sounding distortion. For people like me who love this rank, nasty distortion, it's pretty rad.Level: Again, self explanatory. There is a ton of volume here, enough to use the pedal as a preamp with volume to spare. I used it as a preamp and cranked the volume to max to hit the EL34s hard, to get more awesomeness form the amp and pedal combination.EQ: This is where the pedal gets interesting: A normal pedal has a passive tone control, kinda like a low-pass filter that removes some of the high-end that gets amplified in the op-amp. This sucker has three gyrator-style semi-parametric EQ bands, where the outside ring controls where in the frequency the band will be boosted/cut, and the inner knob controls how much boost/cut that frequency gets. It is easy to get lost here, so if you do, always remember that all you have to do is put all six EQ knobs back to 12:00 and restart from there.Obviously, the big thing with any pedal is how it sounds. The sound here is definitely polarizing (just read the reviews) and not everybody will like it. If you want a pedal to sound natural, get a DOD Gunslinger, or get an older through-hole Boss DS-1 and do a MOSFET mod on it. If you want it to sound like the pedal chews gravel for lunch and may have other pedals tied-up in its basement, get the Boneshaker.

Nice sounding pedal with nice EQ features
IMHO...Nice sounding pedal that leans more towards modern voiced guitar tones. That is not a bad thing. What makes this pedal stand out is once you dial in your preferred EQ setting the secondary controls allows the boosting or cutting of the low, mid or highs of that specif frequency. That is a really nice feature. Many times, it's not about increasing your volume to be heard but simply boosting certain frequencies when you playing in a band situation.BTW, it sounds good with bass guitar too.

Took a little fiddling with to get the tones to sound pleasing. At first I was disappointed, but later put more time into experimenting with the unusual stacked lower knob section and actually found a tone I am pleased with. The OD wasn't as extreme as I was hoping, but works well for 80's style rock. Definitely no more metal than 80's rock....but it does make a pleasing tone for that style of playing. It loves AC/DC songs ;-)

Excellent
I use this awesome lump of technology with my equally awesome PRS SE 277. It takes a bit of time to dial in tones (but a lot of fun) and I can get everything from country, Southern Rock to more modern Gjent metal tones with brief flirtations with Old School Rock. It is a must for your pedal board if you have a baritone. My set up is PRS SE 277 into a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 18/Orange PPC 30w Cab with a Celestion V30.

Marvelous Guitar Pedal
The product is fantastic and it arrived early by 10-17 days. Turns out the seller upgraded the delivery of my package at no additional cost to me! Upon arrival, I also learned that the seller wiped down the product to help keep up with sanitation precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The product has numerous features that I'm still exploring and hope to use to develop my own tones. Overall, it a marvelous product worth the money. 10/10 would buy from them again!

The pedal works fine, but doesn't suit my needs
This pedal is a strange one. The distortion it provides is not much different than any other over drive at the light end, and pleasantly noxious on the other end. The pedal introduced quite a bit of noise relative to my other pedals. and the noise multiplied if the distortion know was turned beyond about 3 o clock. A noisegate will solve this for the most part. But it is worth knowing.I simply couldn't get a tone from it that I didn't already achieve from other pedals on the board. and when this is stacked with my fuzz or OD, it created a wild synth artifact that was both obnoxious and interesting. Not interesting enough however to keep on my board. Pedalboard real estate and pedal monies are limited. I cannot justify these costs for this pedal.I wanted this pedal to fill a niche on my board. The design of it suggested it would offer more than it does and be far more unique than it actually sounds. The pedal works fine, but doesn't suit my needs. I am returning it.

This is badass - candy for the ears...
Love It, its badass rock'n roll. Completes my peadal board and satisfied my thinkin' of distortion. The control for the heights was strongly bent, perhaps a transport damage, but I am not interested. It takes too long to send back from Europe to the USA. The regulator works and I paid half the price. It's a good deal for me.My ears love the sound - dirt in its purest form.

It's a great $50 pedal.
It's a great $50 pedal. If I had paid the full price of $149 I would have been very disappointed.
