I bought this book series, because I played the board game first and loved it!After reading the forward written by the author in the deck building game rule book, I was thoroughly intrigued.The books are amazing page turners. In the opening chapters of the first book, the main character Darrow lists off a few of the books that he read which clearly inspired the series, including The Man in the Iron Mask.The action is quite graphicly violent: be prepared for a Game of Thrones-like experience.

Great price for this set!

The first 3 books are absolutely amazing. The pacing is great once you get past the first 40 pages or so. If you enjoy adventure stories, or books like the hunger games, maze runner, or percy jackson you will love this series! I got addicted after page 40 and ended up reading the first 3 books over the next 20 days (which is a lot for me). If you want to get addicted to reading, pick up Red Rising.

Cute all the same height so ideal set for a bookie

I have enjoyed this series and was excited to own my own copies. The box and plastic that it was shipped in were in poor shape. Thankfully the books were unaffected.
